I brought my laptop (mbp retina late 2013) to be fixed and was quoted 800+ euros by an Apple approved repair center.Instead went with this. It is reasonably priced and contains all you need to replace the battery yourself:- 2 small p5 screw drivers to open the bottom panel and unscrew the speakers- a big flexible plastic sheet that can help to remove the old dead battery (they are stuck on the casing)(Check the iFixit website for instructions)The battery was replaced last Thursday (today is Tuesday). I waited a some time before writing the review as I wanted to verify the battery life. I've been running on battery for more than 4 hours now and am still at 61% battery capacity. All good.If your laptop is out of warranty and you know your way around a screwdriver and are gentle with electronics, you don't need to have it repaired by Apple for an outrageous price.

Worked well initially, within a few months and at only 13 battery cycles the battery is suffering problems and has changed it's status to service battery. It sometimes doesn't hold charge at all. Very disappointing.

The capacity not as stated came out to be only 4800mAh. Other than that good price, fits perfectly.

Item worked perfectly for 4 months until the battery stopped working and now the laptop won't turn on. Also struggling to find a way to contact Apredtech about this fault

Great battery - well worth the cost (for the price Apple charge you could purchase several of these).The repair requires a steady hand, but is more than doable. Just follow the ifixit guide and don't rush!I used a combination of an old Oyster card (an old bank card would also work) and some dental floss dipped in Isopropanol IPA Alcohol (also available on Amazon) to prise off the glued-in old battery cells. I recommend a couple of sheets of A4 to house the removed screws (one sheet for the outside case, one for the inside) and a box for the speaker components.Took about two hours, but Ghostbusters 2 was on Film 4 and I got totally distracted.

Very good, was a bit skeptical changing the battery myself but followed instructions online and only took 20 minutes. I didn't realise this product came with the torque screwdrivers required to open the macbook up, and already purchased another set. Battery doesn't hold charge as long as original battery, but considering I couldn't unplug my macbook without it dying, it's certainly an improvement. Roughly I get about 6/7 hours of moderate use out of it before the battery is at 0%. Still better than spending £200 in apple store to get it replaced.

18 month warranty.... but no way to contact the seller when it goes wrong.fantastic!

Works Fine, tape isn't as secure as the original but no real complaints.
