You have room for even 600 before touching the filter. **Q: What's the difference between the v60 pourover?** A: This is a decanter for a few cups of coffee. It includes a filter holder for your filter papers. It’s quite good but I don’t use it that much as it takes a while to fill the decanter for a few cups. The V60 is just the filter holder to sit on a glass. I bought the V60 pour over after and that can sit on any cup or glass of your choice. Makes great coffee. I use it every day. Hope this answers your curious question. **Q: Can the decanter withstand being placed over a very low gas flame for 3 minutes whilst being filled?** A: Wouldn't advise it. Recommend just pre-warming the decanter with the water used to rinse paper filter. You don't want to be drinking your brew really hot anyway as you won't get all the bean's flavours. Ideal drinking temp in around 55-60c. **Q: What size filters does it require?** A: it takes size 2 filters but you can put size 4 in i do. The decanter is beautifully made, and looks lovely when filled up with a clear, delicious brew. I was a little worried by the review saying the glass was too thin, but I'm relieved to say it's not as delicate as all that. I've definitely given it a few knocks and it's shown no signs of cracking, but it is glass after all so some care will always be required when handling it. Highly recommended as an all-in-one drip cone/decanter set.
