Sinkstation Flat Colander, Red, BPA Free

These things are great in the sink! They keep all the little stuff from going down the sink drains and they are very easy to clean. We always have clogged sinks so I bought these to see if they would help. So far no clog!!! And it's great when you are cutting up veggies for dinner! Just peel the onion or chop the ends off squash and put them in the sink, then dispose of them all at one time in the trash or composter. Super easy! Very well made too, though I wish the color selection would have been better. I have a blue kitchen with red sink mats. Oh well, I still love them!

I bought this for my mom for Christmas as just a little extra gift a few years ago and she loves it. She uses it all the time. It fits perfectly in the small side of her kitchen sink. It definitely makes pealing potatoes, carrots, you name it, so much easier. I highly recommend this, it makes cleaning up while cooking a breeze.

This fits the need to stop large peelings from clogging the kitchen sink. One corner has a drain spout but I am still uncertain of its use.

I like these so well I bought two. I clean a lot of veggies and its nice to peel in one sink and toss in the other to wash off. I highly recommend one buy the real Sinkstation and NOT the cheaper version offered on Amazon. I did. I sent it back due to the lower quality material and ordered another Sinkstation. It surprises me that people are trying to use this as a draining colander for noodles and then complain it doesn't work. That's kinda like trying to use a lawn mower to trim your hedge. It is a colander in that it has holes to drain items--thus a colander. It is not a BOWL colander! It is not made to drain noodles and other such food. It works great for what it was designed to do....catch peelings and drain veggies/fruit....then carry the peelings to the pile or garbage. I plan on giving these as gifts.....only to those who know the difference between a bowl colander and a flat colander;-)

I do a lot of canning and this product is so nice to put in my sink to clean and peel the fruit and vegetables. Without it my sink clogs but this product allows the sink to continue to drain while I am working. When I am done I can pick up the colander and either put the peels in the garbage or compost with little effort and easy cleanup. I like this product so much I purchased one for my daughter and one for my lake cabin.

This is one of my new favorite kitchen gadgets. I love to peel and prep my vegetables with this in the sink. To clean up, I simply lift the tray, let it drain for a few seconds, and use the tray to dispose of the scraps in the trash. So easy. The tray cleans easily by hand or in the dishwasher.

If you wash a lot of produce in the sink, buy this. If you peel potatoes, trim veggies, and want to save all that for your compost bin, or simply want to scoop it up for the trash, buy this. If you want anything you're working on in the sink to not go down the garbage disposal or drain, buy this. It makes it so easy to work at the sink, then pick up everything and take it where you need it. It covers the normal sized divided sink well, and catches things that a normal bowl colander misses. At least, I miss the round colander a lot more often! It doesn't take the place of a regular bowl colander, but it's very handy.
