Tranquileyes Beads - These glycerin and water beads provide a temperature controlled range 38°C-43°C (up to 60 times) lasting 15 - 25 minutes. The beads are places into a fabric pocket which is then submerged in water and heated in a microwaver for 60 seconds. Moist heat loosens the oils of the Meibomian glands, penetrates deeply to hydrating the eyelids and surrounding skin. The Tranquileyes goggles offer optimum coverage of your eyes; this exteneded coverage replenishes moisture to your eyes as well as to the surrounding skin leaving it looking more vibrant. They can also be used for cold therapy for soothing of swollen or puffy eye, simply moisten the pockets (with Beads inside) and place in the freezer. The sensitive skin foam make the goggle comfortable to be worn whilst you sleep, like a night sleeping mask. Includes Pair of Tranquileyes goggles fitted with sensitive skin foam Set of Instants thermoeyes Set of pockets Wash bag

Not great but still your best option for bad dry eye
I have severe mgd and dry eye and read that these are good for night time to keep moisture in the eyes. I use them without the heat stuff however the foam inserts inside which are designed to be soaked in water and to keep your eyes shut when they are on are a bit too large. As a result they press hard against my eyeballs at night. I woke up the next day with shooting pains in my eyes from too much pressure. I now put eye gel + wet cotton balls inside the eye cups instead of using the foam or bead insets and they seem to stay moist until morning making my eyes feel better when I wake up.Also I had an allergic reaction at first to the 'skin foam' where they touched my skin I got dry flaky red skin really bad around my eyes for the first few weeks of using these. It's gone now however and seems to be ok but that was a shock!I haven't tried the heat beads yet as I have a multitude of other heat devices for mgd and this was supposed to be the best product for staying moist while sleeping. It's a shame they now trying to sell it asnas beauty product for puffy eyes and dark circles rather than an aid for dry eye.The strap round the head is comfy but it can slip off during the night - the fastenings to make it tighter are a bit flimsy and I'm sure will break soon enough, they also come undone easily (thus the slipping off during the night) but it's been ok as I'm not a big wriggler whole sleeping - I have never woken up with the goggles not on my face. They are comefortable to sleep in on the back and if on the side can be a bit awkward but you get used to how to position your head so not to squash your eyes!Product is a good idea but needs to be better designed. That said it is still one of the best options (if not the only one) out there for severe dry eye sufferers. Using this will be better than using nothing when you sleep. Good luck!

Waste of money!!!
What a waste of money!! It doesn't get very warm and the strap doesn't stay in place. It's also much more faffing around than previous similar eye masks I have had where you just pop the whole bag in the microwave instead of pouches and water like this one.i suggest you buy a much cheaper, simpler eye mask like the Eye Doctor hot compress one which is so much easier to use and works much better. I have given up with this Tranquil eyes one and ordered another Eye Doctor one.

the beads don't feel warm at all, even though I followed the instructions to the letter. The strap doesn't hold either so it's pointless trying to wear overnight as it always ends up coming off during the night

They do work!!
I use these every morning for 10-12 minutes and after 6 months am in complete remission from my dry eyes. I find the beads work perfectly (and last a good 3 months). I have a small pyrex jug I put them in, poor boiling water over them, wait about a minute then insert them into the mask, I too found that 45 second in the microwave was insufficient. Afterwards massage your warmed eyes gently along the edge of the lids from centre to outside edge to help get the glands to work.
