Can you replace the battery in this or has Braun created this with built in obsolescence?

The batteries in our rechargeable Oral-B electric toothbrushes cannot be replaced. The battery is contained within the electronics of the toothbrush handle and the unit is then sealed to keep it water tight. For these reasons we do not provide replacement batteries for Oral-B electric toothbrushes. With that being said, our Oral-B Pro-Expert Toothbrush takes two AA batteries that can be replaced.
