Product description Groundspike, Take care when handling your spike. Each spike is cleaned before leaving us, but occasionally people with sensitive skin are susceptible to the odd loose fibre. You need to get the spike about 20cm into the ground, if you are using more than one spike group them together. If you put a little block of wood over the top you can very often just push them in using your body weight, if not use a rubber mallet. Then extend your pole, unscrew the cap on the bottom and put the pole over the spike(s). This allows your pole to be freemoving which helps stop flags/windsocks tangling. Safety Warning Handle spike with care. Use a rubber mallet to insert sthe spike into the ground

Review: Held in well, single spike thin for flag pole - Bought for flag pole - which did the job. Good and held in ground well. Bit thin for flag pole. To get around this we mounted pole on ground spike and used guide rope to stop it blowing too much. I Would say if youre using for a wider flag pole then its worth buying a couple and putting them in together which I will do when I use it again.

I had just over a third of it in the ground and it stayed securely in the ground. One spike was sufficient. Very prompt delivery.

**Q: Is it one pole that is telescopic or by the image 10 poles?**
A: This listing is for one ground stake for a telescopic flag pole.

**Q: how do you remove the spike? I bought one, used it once and couldnt for the life of me get it back out again. i waggled and rocked and tapped etc etc**
A: No idea what you are on about I don’t have one but common sense says heat the spike up to expand it and twist it off after protecting your hands

**Q: Would these be ideal for hard ground use with windbreak**
A: Hi Sue, I used these spikes for a telescopic pole for attaching flags onto at Silverstone. The spikes are very sturdy and held upto the winds and movement of the telescopic pole that I connected to them and withheld very well even when putting them into hard ground using a hammer.

**Q: How does this connect to the Telescopic windsock pole? Just received it and doesn't attach anywhere obvious and is too small to fit inside the pole**
A: Bed the stake into the ground 30-40cm. Unscrew the cap on the bottom pole of the telescopic flag pole, once it's fully extended the bottom shaft simply slides over the stake.
