TaoTronic Bluetooth Speakers, 360° Surround Sound ,20W 15 Hours TaoTronics Super Loud Portable Wireless Speaker (Dual 10W Drivers, Volume & Track Control, Built-in Microphone, Hands-free Phone Calls)

The media could not be loaded.  This is a very solid high quality speaker, it arrived in a very nice quality bespoke package in a white plastic sleeve, protected with foam and removable plastic cover on the top with easy to follow and simple instructions, 3.5mm audio cable and USB charging cable. I gave it a full charge before testing, the charging port (micro USB) is located on the front of the speaker under a fixed rubber plug and has a small indicator light next to it which stays red until fully then it changes to green, being concealed under this rubber plug means you only see the light when the unit is charging.Connecting the speaker via Bluetooth was really simple, after powering on the speaker TaoTronics TT-SK11 appeared in the Bluetooth devices list and one press and it was connected, I loaded up some music and gave it a good test, the sound is superb and it does indeed as claimed fill the room and the highest volume was really too loud for me but I tested it to see if there was any noticeable distortion but found it to be very clear with no distortion and a really meaty sound unlike some which sound a bit tinny.I really like the volume dial on the top which not only makes it simple to adjust the volume with a turn it also indicates the volume change on the phone. I tested a phone call and clarity with the inbuilt microphone which was very clear and the conversation audible both ends, when getting a phone call it automatically switches to the ring tone of the phone and pauses all music while the call is connected but once finished automatically switches back to playing the music from the same place you left it.The Bluetooth range seems very good, I tried it at 25 foot distance and still had a good solid connection with no dropouts or distortion, with this speaker playing for 15 hours nonstop and only taking 5 hours to charge it’s ideal to take out and about with you in the summer or to fill the house with music any time you like.I have added a short video just showing my first connection and playing a bit of music off youtube, please be aware video degrades somewhat once uploaded through Amazons optimisation system and the original quality is of a much higher quality. I think it sounds great and I like that is has 360 degree sound field so no matter where people are siting they are treated to a great sound.

Great speaker, quality product.Very loud with crystal sound.And last minimum 7 to 8 hours continuous play in high volume.

A continuous hum/crackle is present all the time music is being played. This can be masked by turning the music up loud, but if you just want to have the music on quietly, in the background, it completely dominates. Between tracks, pausing the music or, simply, turning the volume off is the 'best' time to hear the 'static cacophony' in all its glory! Obviously, unacceptable. One wonders how this, easily detectable, noise got through quality control?Also, in the short time I was testing out the capabilities of the speaker, I was most disappointed at its ergonomics - it is not possible to press any of the controls without either the speaker falling over or having to pick it up! They're hidden around the back of the speaker, anyway, so this would normally necessitate picking the thing up first, turning it around and then accessing the buttons.Added to this, the 'tower' design made the unit more prone to being knocked over and I couldn't figure out where the L/R speakers were situated within the unit. I never, actually, figured out whether the music was in stereo, or not! There was no idea of 'distance' between the outputs of the L/R speakers - no real 'stereo effect' discernable.All-in-all, one to miss.

As the title suggest, this speaker it's pretty awesome.Aesthetically it looks great and feels great too. The combination of rubber, plastic, and fabric not only gives it an appealing and expensive look but it helps when carrying it around and placing it on any surface. Unlike other speakers, this speaker does not have a hook or carabiner for easy portability. I think it was intended as a often portable but mostly stationary speaker. Nonetheless, you can easily put it on your bag and carry it with you anywhere. The one key feature I really like about this speaker is the rotating volume knob. I think it is a great mix of old school and new technology that not only makes it look good but fun and more satisfying when changing the volume. kudos to Taotronics for that.Yeah, yeah, it looks great, but what about the sound? Is the sound good? And is it worth the money?The answer is yes. I own and have gifted several bluetooth headphones and speaker, three of them from sunvalleytek, (TaoTronics 360 Degree Surround Sound Wireless Portable Speaker, VAVA Boom 20, and Taotronics 16W Rock Wireless Portable Stereo Speaker) and they are awesome. All of them sound great and are not only offered, in my opinion, at bargain prices but their functionality, sound clarity and bass response blows and can easily compete with some of the most expensive and brand speakers. The bass on the TaoTronics 360 Degree Surround Sound Wireless Portable Speaker is pretty loud and deep, yet it does not overpowers or drowns the mids and highs. I will also mention that the sound got better the more I used it as the speakers loosened up and, in my opinion, were able to cover the full spectrum. Like many portable speakers the bass gets lost on this speaker when placed on big open areas but if you place it close to a corner or wall you will definitely enhance the bass and overall sound.Connectivity:Connecting to my phone and iPad was a breeze. The phone and iPad quickly recognized the speaker and started playing right away. Connecting to Alexa and echo dot was very easy as well. Unlike some early buyers, I have not had any issues with bluetooth connectivity while using it with my devices for about a week on 15-20 hours of use.I originally bough this TaoTronics 360 Degree Surround Sound Wireless Portable Speaker to pair with my echo dot and it did not disappoint. It gave my echo dot a fresh new life and every kind of music I ask Alexa to play just comes out GREAT out of this speaker. I am very happy with this buy and I highly recommend it if you are considering getting a good, inexpensive, and good looking 360 speaker or if like me you want to pair a good speaker to Alexa or your echo dot.Note: I bought this speaker at full price and was offered a $40 refund for being a long time customer.
