Have you ever wondered what it was like to just pack up and go? This guy does just that! Sit down and immerse yourself in this story. A normal bloke decides to grab his bike and head to Australia via 20 countries. Taking over 4 months and travelling nearly 29,000 kms. This is the story of that journey. Riding through places, sometimes in areas he shouldn't be, he manages to reach Australia after one of the most amazing experiences of his life. You may want to do the same after watching this!

A great motorcycling DVD.
As a lifelong biker who is passionate about motorcycles and motorcycle travel, I was keen to watch Steven Kirk’s ‘Perth To Perth,’ and I have to admit I was more than a little intrigued to hear that he filmed and produced the entire thing himself without any support. I’ll also admit I was slightly dubious about ordering something from overseas – however, the DVD arrived within a week (from Australia) and turned out to be a quality product.Perth To Perth is Steven Kirk’s travel documentary about his own overland motorcycle journey from Perth in Scotland to Perth in Australia. His journey takes him through 19 countries and across the paths of a host of colourful characters, he captures it all himself on his own video camera. The final product is a superb 6 part travel diary / documentary which shows Kirk’s journey for what it was, warts and all. The footage itself is almost professional quality. The fact that it was filmed by Stephen Kirk himself and not a fully equipped camera crew only adds to the DVDs authenticity and the genuine enjoyment you’ll get from watching it.It’s clear that Steven Kirk is the real deal – throughout the DVD his passion for motorcycling is clear, and I wouldn’t be surprised if in the future we hear his name mentioned alongside the likes of Sam Manicom, Nathan Milward, Lois Pryce, Austin Vince, Ted Simon and other pioneering motorcycle travellers. The only downside to the DVD (if you consider this to be a downside) is what Perth To Perth might do within you . . . if you are a biker your bucket list will undoubtedly grow longer, you will look to change your bike for an adventure sports model, you may very well invest in a fancy high end camcorder, and all of a sudden your weekend ride outs and annual two week trip over to France or Spain just might not satisfy your craving for two wheeled adventure anymore. And if that happens, is it really such a bad thing? A great motorcycling DVD, worth the money and deserving of its 5 stars.

Really enjoyable viewing
Posted promptly arriving from Australia (to the UK) in around a week and sent directly by Steven Kirk himself. For those that enjoy adventure motorcycling documentaries this is an absolute winner. Self filmed with occasional help from people and riders met along the way the finished six part three hour result is really very surprising. Far from being an amateur effort it comes across as really very professional. There is the obvious comparison with other shall we say "big budget sponsor supported" films and Perth to Perth matches up fair and square and for the man or biker in the street I would suggest betters them. The filming is excellent and does not feel staged, the emotion is honestly presented and the bit part characters that feature are given an important forward part in the series. I had planned to break up my viewing but got through the complete DVD in one sitting which I hope is a recommendation in itself. Finally, thank you Steven for sharing your adventure, really enjoyed your trip and much respect for producing such a polished, atmospheric and cohesive piece of work. Brilliant

Very Good
Don't expect the same production quality as LWR and LWD it's just a guy on his bike with a camera and no backup, that's what gives this film it's charm, it goes to show what the modern world has come too as he can't travel huge parts of his intended route due to political reasons and you have to watch this just for the crossing of Pakistan if nothing else, Total lunacy would best describe that part of the journey and must have been a truly uncomfortable and unpleasant experience for him, travelling across a country where people would genuinely take great pleasure in killing you and you don't know who they are and where they're hiding, it was uncomfortable just watching it

What an adventure!
Bought this for my husband at Christmas on the strength of the reviews and he loved it. Such a refreshing change from the ‘personality’ motorcycle trip DVDs I’d chosen for him previously (!) which I thought he’d enjoy. Steven Kirk’s mammoth journey and very individual way of filming his adventures has been a great success in this household, now it’s my turn to watch it!

Fantastic achievement, the ride and the film!
This is a truly inspirational DVD. I am a normal guy whose life doesn't allow for trips of this scale but watching this has meant I know that you don't need a support crew, touratech sponsorship or a year off to do an major adventure. Kirk has filmed this almost single handed and the result is impressive. He doesn't pull any punches and doesn't pretend that he got things right all the time. A fantastic purchase that I highly recommend.

Thoroughly enjoyable!
We thoroughly enjoyed watching Steven's mammoth trip. It was especially interesting seeing the countries that we are probably unlikely to visit. Steven recorded all of his journey himself and the journey was a smorgasbord of adventure, humour, and obstacles to overcome. We look forward to watching to his next journey.

Must watch.
Fantastic dvd. Really enjoyed watching this and look forward to Stevens next trip which I believe he's working on now. Posted direct from him in a few weeks which is great from Perth Australia. Only problem with watching things like this is the mind starts to drift into planning your own trip!
