How do you know if adaptor is working? No noise, no smell etc?

Correct no noise ,no smell but it's doing something for our little dog .I have it plugged in for nearly a week and dog seems to be a lot calmer when fireworks are going off around the estate.Normaly she would be terrified and shaking non stop and would have to put her in bedroom with radio on and wardrobe door open so she would stay in there .So it's helping her I don't know how.

is it safe to leave plugged in as firemen advise against plug in air freshners etc

Hi JS, The diffuser unit is made from non-flammable plastic in France to British Standard 60335, so it shouln't cause a house fire. We do advise that after six months (or 5 refills) that you do purchase a new diffuser, as the mineral oil carrier for the pheromone attracts dust and debris to the unit which can cause it to smell slightly and affect the unit's ability to diffuse efficiently.We hope this helps,Kind RegardsThe Adaptil Team
