IR245 POU. 240V/4.5kW/20A. Infrared Electric Hot Tankless Water Heater. No Corrosion. No Limescale

This unit seems well made and I'm very happy with it. I was certainly put off by the warranty limitations since I was doing my own install so fingers are crossed that I won't need to get service on it. But it is easy to take apart so some failures I would think I could do myself anyway. The unit seems well made. The documentation is just absolutely terrible. I could not figure out for the life of me, the buttons on the unit and had to infer from a couple of webpages. Not sure that they were thinking.

This water heater is a finicky piece of junk. It had appropriate electrical and was installed by a licensed plumber. It would only provide lukewarm water. Tech-support was truly terrible. They wanted me to pay my plumber to troubleshoot their device. At over $100 an hour, that’s ridiculous. After doing all their troubleshooting steps and sending a video to tech support - “It’s a bad flow control - a common problem.” I’m sending this back and would never buy anything from this manufacturer again.

This model is just the right one for my use. I wanted hot water to the kitchen sink faster than 1 1/2 minutes that it takes with my house water heater being so far away. I installed it in the cabinet under the sink and it supplies just the right amount of instant hot water for washing hands or doing a few dishes by hand. At 98 degrees, there is no need to mix cold water at the faucet.

It works but, still need to work out da kinks.

I like the size and the features of the unit and the fact it is made in Florida. I used it as a booster heater. I installed it on the hot water side of our remodeled master bath that now has a huge tub and two shower faucets and two vessel sinks. I would have given it five stars except the valve that comes with it leaked and I had to buy another valve to install there instead. It’s an awesome product and compact size!

I am building a summer kitchen and have finally gotten to the plumbing. I installed this unit and it leaks internally. I have a friend who is a plumber and he came over to verify this. I bought the unit toward the end of 2018 so I went back on my past orders to see about returning it only to find a statement the return window has closed. Terrible customer service in my opinion. I would not recommend this product!!!!!!!!!!

I installed this electric water heater for use in small one bedroom appartment. I hooked it up to supply hot water for shower, sink, washer and kitchen sink. I live in CA so by now it works ok if you do not use everything at once. We will see how will perform in the winter months. I insulated the water line very good, and I hope it will perform good.

So far I hooked it up and tested it , filled a five gallon bucket with hot water, it is the perfect temp for a shower,the flow valve that came with it broke when i tried to tighten it to get it to stop leaking,just hooked it directly to sharkbite pex fitting,seems to work fine without the valve. it is hooked up to a 2 poll 20 amp breaker, will have to wait till the rest of my bathroom is finished to give a better review.
