Easy and convenient to use.
I bought this device to measure Ph in my new aquarium. I was surprised to find it cost about the same as a pack of test strips. I used the test strips I already had to check the readings against the tester for a few days, identical every time and so much more convenient. Can not recommend too highly.

Not as simple as it looks.
After following all the instructions to set the meter,I found the readings did not match the ph on the two sachets provided.I followed a video I found on you tube to ste it up.I now do not know if I am getting a true ph reading when I use it or not.I do not know if the meter can be recalibrated a second time .I can’t rely on the meter readings at present.

Easier ways to do it!
This is one way of measuring pH, but to have to calibrate the unit seems clumsy. A liquid pH kit could be a simpler option.

Seems to do the trick.
I have found a his to be quite accurate, unsure how it will fair in the long run but we will have to see and will adjust the review accordingly.I bought this along side some test paper and the paper is rubbish, I didn't get any accuracy at all. Have some white vinegar at home and put it into that and it gave a reading of 2.4 which according to Google is correct so that was good enough for me.Looked at calibrating but it looked a little confusing so just didn't bother.

Don't bother, rubbish product and rubbish company.
They didn't send out the calibrating sachets, so I couldn't use it. I emailed them about and they said they had sold out, even though they were continuing to sell on Amazon. Company didn't help at all, tried contacting numerous times and they ignored me. Eventually tried to calibrate it using pH 7 water. Then if was really bad at giving accurate readings. Would NOT buy again. STAY AWAY.

Brought 2 and 1 broke but Macdodo makes it all better again.
I brought 2 of these and 1 broke with in a month with a Err error tat would go away :( I wasn't a happy bunny which reflected in the 1 star review I gave but guess what I'm a happy bunny as should all of you who buy this item from Macdodo as they offer a lifetime guarantee, They contacted me to offer a refund or replacement I chose the replacement so if it goes wrong then get a new one. As for the ph pen well it does what it says on the tin, large easy to read display at the press of a button you also do not need to recalibrate this when you 1st purchase it as its already done. So I take back my 1 star review and give the seller 5 stars and the product 4 stars would of got 5 but 1st 1 broke ;).All in all if you need a ph pen then you cant go wrong with this one from this seller.

Works, but expensive in the long run.
Bought this to replace an older, slightly more expensive pH meter (Omega PHH-5012) that had given up the ghost after 4 years. Intended to use for homebrewing of meads where careful pH management is important. My main issue with it regards the calibration. Whereas my old meter used a little screwdriver for manual calibration (and so can be calibrated with any solution of know pH), this relies on automatic calibration using two powders you have to mix with water. Firstly, the product description states it comes with three sets of these, when mine only arrived with one. When it arrived, I tested it using a pH4.00 solution, and it read 4.01 - close enough, but the next day it read 4.10, so needs to be calibrated with every use. This wouldn't be too much of a problem, but the requirement for two solutions (one of which is 6.86, not the more easily/cheaply available 7.00), combined with the wide head to the device requiring larger quantities of any solutions used mean that whilst the device itself may be cheap, it's soon going to cost far more in calibration fluids.Unless you're only looking for something cheap to use just once or twice, I can't recommend this product. In the long term, it will prove far more expensive than it's worth.

Good value for money
Arrived quickly and well packaged. Very easy to use and so far would seem to be accurate in testing the pH levels forth our hot tub.
