Where the acapello is more like the device called power breath which is for exercising the lungs. The flutter does what it says it, you breath out natrally and it causes the lungs to vibrate. I think it is fantastic, as I have Asthma and Bronchiectesis. When I get a cold out it comes and I have not suffered with a chest infection since I bought it 4 years ago. Also there is a breathing exercise which I have been shown which is great for clearing airways ask your doctor about it. I call it chasing the crackles. **Q: Could anyone tell me how this is used please?** A: You use it rather like a pipe but instead of sucking you puff out into it ensuring your blowing rattles the large ball bearing which is held within the cup.
