TurnsPro Support camera Time-Lapse - Rotation 360° Timelapse

A good item but it could really do with a remote control or delay to allow you to move out of the way as it starts instantly. I tried to use it in my car but could not get away quick enough and softly close the door :(

As this does not use a linear motor its inevitable that even in time lapse photography the device will jerk to the next position and make the picture a bit fuzzy. Taking 1000 shots at the slowest speed still don't look very smooth. For video recording forget the sound unless you have an external mic. It makes a real nice rhythmic drumming sound. Biggest gripe is considering the price it doesn't remember what you last programmed it to do. There is also no way to program it and have a countdown timer before it starts to rotate. So on fast rotation its moved a lot when you press last function and this is picked up with wobble in video. Battery life is ok. Nice to have removable batteries. The bolt underneath to attach to the tripod is a bit to far recessed. I cant use it on one of my three tripods. Make sure you got a long thread on tripod mount. It does work when mounted sideways and pan up and down. Tested on gopro and a lightweight camcorder. A remote control would be fantastic for this item.

This is a really fun piece of kit and is fairly easy to use (took me a couple of minutes to work out the button controls but there's a very helpful flow diagram on the box to help users get it right. I've used it on three occasions since I got it and each time I've got the shot / sequence / scene I was looking for.Build quality: Plastic housing could be more solid but it seems perfectly good to do the job. I wouldn't mention the plastic housing at all were it not for my own fumbling of the battery cover, which I managed to insert incorrectly and momentarily "lever" the plastic housing apart at the seam/join. Once I put the battery housing in position as I should have done in the first place the plastic housing went back to how it should be and all is well in the world.Good screw fitting for SLR / GoPro etc.Overall I recommend this product.

I have finally tested “TurnsPro”. The item is well built but needs to be protected in my camera bag. The motor is very noisy therefire any sound recording is impossible. The motor is not seamless. Even on some of the time lapses there are clear jerky movements. The menu / button system is logical, but I have to reset ( switch on one off again ) if I want to change any settings every time. A back button is required. Having said all this, it’s compact size, it’s ability to move clockwise and anti clockwise using degrees of movement or rotational movement is very good. This item is more than adequate for time lapses on a mobile phone, compact camera or a small DSLR. An upgrade with wireless connection, either via a remote control or an app, plus the inclusion of a Spirit level would make this a fantastic camera mount.

Having used a simple egg timer style device for a while I got fed up with it only being able to turn one way and having no control over how fast I want the turn.So I took the plunge on one of these to regain some control in my life and have to say it's amazing. My one is part of batch 4 so has some fixes that I've seen mentioned in the earlier models.The menu is simple. I do suggest you read the manual which is part of the packaging. You'll only need to read it once as it is that simple to use.I've used it with my gopro, Canon 5d mkii and an 1100D and they all turned smoothly.I also attached it to my slider so that it pulls it along (only with the gopro and the 1100D) so I can ahve a moving timelapse. I'm going to add another TurnsPro so I can have a sweeping move on the slider...geek heaven!

The TurnsPro is a superbly developed device for adding rotational movement to time lapse photography. I used it solely for my GoPro Hero 4.Simple controls and mounting give you great control to add interesting rotational movements to your time lapse film making.It's not as cheap as the bare minimum ways to recreate this effect (eg an egg timer) but is designed from the ground up for this specific use.I did initially try playing with it to add movement to live video but found (least at the speed/rotation settings I had set) the results to be a little jerky. It could be this device is not meant for that action OR I my settings were not optimal for the best results.Pros- Adds slick rotational movement to time lapse recordings- Simple to setup, simple to useCons- Not smooth enough for live video

Very versatile and makes time lapse a lot more interesting. I used to have the camalapse 4 (an egg timer type) and have to say the options regarding the angle, direction and time for the spin are great! As per other reviews the set up is a little non user friendly but anyone with half a brain can figure it out in a short time.Overall a very good time lapse device. I took it to Cuba and have produced some great vids. I would recommend this as a very good mid range time lapse device. I believe this is the best mid range price device and if you want to spend this level of money you can’t go wrong.

Bought this for camera and gopro hero 8 there is plenty of settings on this to play around with and I like the fact that you can set the timer from 1 second to 9 hours. Haven't had chance to try it out properly yet but seems to do what it says. Would be even better if it was rechargeable rather than ordinary batteries but that's just my opinion. Can be a little bit confusing to set the mode you want but once you have figured it out it is relatively easy. Great product.
