Do the water pens leak or can you have them in your bag with water in them?!** A: I'm sure you could have them in a bag. Just to be sure pop them in a little freezer bag. It's a great device! **Q: why supervised by an adult?** A: I have absolutely no idea! My grandson first started using these when he was about 2 - he's now 3 and a half and still loves them. I have bought every one in the set. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They are brilliant. When the water drys on the page, it's ready to use again. You won't be disappointed with this item. It's great on a car journey. I have never found any reason to think it might need supervision. Maybe the pen 'cap' might be considered a choking hazard but then I remove that before I give the pen to him to play so it's not an issue but I suppose some children may put it in their mouths. I guess it's the company covering themselves. Buy it, you'll love it  **Q: How long does the water in the pen last for?** A: It is only a small pen but I would say it lasts for at least the 15 mins it takes my son to colour in all the pages, we use a paintbrush instead now with a bowl of water because the pen scratches the pages after a while or if you have the aqua doodle pen you could use that one since its bigger and works well with this too. Just use the water pen and the colours show through and in an hour or so, it dries to use again. One word of warning though. I don't know if it was my son or my overenthusiastic nieces and nephews but where someone had scribbled maybe a little too hard, or where the water took too long to dry, the paper has worn away in places throughout the book showing the colours through. No one used the pen too hard as far as I could tell but it was used a few times throughout the day. By Boxing day, the magic is gone. Not durable - but great fun while it lasted!
