Nintendo 2DS

I haven't owned a Nintendo since the original DS when it first came out, and when I saw this for £75, I decided to get it, since it comes with a game as well, and I travel a lot, so I could use this when travelling. It arrived very quickly, and was brand new, not damaged in the post or anything. The console itself is great. The design is very simple, but is very comfortable and it's very balanced, unlike the clamshell design of the 3DS. It comes with a 4GB memory card, with mario kart 7 pre-installed, which is nice, since you don't have to download it using a code, you just turn it on, set the console up, and then you're ready to play. The graphics are decent, not amazing, but given the size of the screens you can't fault it. It has a decent battery life, and you can put it in sleep mode which is very useful, as the device still does stuff like streetpass while in sleep mode. Overall, this is a great console and if you want something to pass the time while travelling or just want a cheap handheld console, this is the way to go.

Perfect for children who are too young to be staring at the 3D function on a 3DS (or too clumsy to be trusted with the clamshell design of the other models). The fact that this comes with Mario Kart 7, one of the best games available on the system, is brilliant. I won't bother going into any other details about the system itself, as there are probably a million reviews on the web where you can read every single detail. Suffice to say this is a kid-friendly version of probably the best hand held console ever made. Two bits of advice if you are buying it for a child, mind you: get screen protectors, and get a spare stylus (or two). One general piece of advice: get a bigger SD card. The 2gb one supplied doesn't go very far if you want to download games and demos and fill it with photos and whatnot.

It game in perfect condition with version 1.3.0 install and Mario kart was already on it. The sd card was small but all it took was copying and pasting everything from the original one to my pc and then onto the new sd card. Everything worked fine. For a cheap price of a brand new console, I have gotten hours of fun out of it. It was very easy to install certain apps on it too, only took a few hours to perfect the 2DS.

Elxelent little bit of kit more comfortable than the 3ds of xl for long periods of play my copy of mario kart was supposed to be pre installed but wasn't and it was a bit of a hassle to work out how to get into the store and re download it with out paying but solid otherwise and well worth the money

Great little console which was easy to set up - and lock down for younger children. It is easy to remove internet access through parental locks. Coming packaged with Mario Kart 7 is a great deal as it is a really good fun game for kids (and adults). The console is well built and while it isn't up to the spec of the 3DS XL, for the price you pay it is great value. I haven't missed having the 3D at all. I would definitely recommend this.

i recomend this console for getting kids into consoles and games its library is both fun and engaging and the encluded mario kart 7 is plenty of fun to get them started i would suggest kids of a age of 7-10 will probly feel comfortable in the hand i would recomend the 2ds xl for older children as this will feel cramped.

My son really enjoys this device as it is easy to connect with other players, easy to download games from the games store, the battery life is long and occasionally games are made available for free. He finds the console much easier to use than the 3DS because the 2DS is easier to hold. The toggle button is robust and comfortable.

Almost 1 year on and the it is gettib hard to switch on whih is quite surprising.

I loved it all except the fact that the cord it came with was from another country so it wouldn’t plug in my American outlet It was super cheap for a Nintendo system and it was in like new condition
