They are really bright, durable, yet compact and thoroughly useful, not to mention affordable - we've paid more for far less efficient torches. Since discovering them, we've bought loads as presents too. We took them on safari in South and East Africa and all the rangers, trackers and night watchmen (who keep an eye out for predators and other dangerous animals around the camp / lodge) coveted them as they were by far the best they'd ever seen and far more efficient than the ones they were supplied with. We ended up giving ours away and buying more when we came home, then taking more as gifts for the safari staff on our next trip. We're going to East Africa armed with more as gifts later this year. I have one in my handbag, one in my travel luggage, one in the cupboard at both our homes for when you drop something under the furniture or can't find something in an overcrowded cupboard. SO USEFUL and absolutely BRILLIANT!!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent value, brilliant little torch *by T***T on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 4 December 2017* Bought these as a gift so won’t be able to comment on longevity but I was really impressed with these torches. I have had a lot of torches in my time including Surefire incandescent, mag light and led lenser. I have also seen a lot that people have bought on eBay at work, which are always worth a chuckle. Given the price I was expecting something akin to the rubbish that comes from eBay via China after about 6 weeks. This was definitely not the case here. They feel solidly built and well constructed with no obvious signs of irregularity you get from poor manufacturing. The lumen value is not 800 as advertised but more like 250-300 based on the claims of my Led Lenser torches. The spot created is clear and well defined and on full zoom there is no evidence of the square you see on low quality products, it remains as a perfect circle. The push button is easy to use and cycles through the functions with ease. I actually like that it has less functions because there’s less to memorise and nothing to reset when the batteries die. Nice size, light is bright and the zoom function is useful.If you depress the button half way you can change it from full brightness, lower brightness and flashing which is good.
