It felt like chewing bark
Just had your “green chili and cheese tamales” I had two bites and couldn’t palate the rest, I actually spit it out. The burnt chili skin was still very much mixed in with the filling. My first bite, I felt the velvety masa, followed by the generous amount of cheese. My journey into your tamale quickly turned south however when I bit down to realize the charred skin was left on the chili, I muscled through it and thought it must have been a mistake and took my second bite. More chili in this bite and the same complaint, my mouth literally couldn’t take the charred, hard skin. It felt like chewing bark. (This is coming from someone who grew up in Pueblo Colorado and has eaten many a tamale). Needless to say I spit it out, post haste and threw the remaining tamale and the second one from the package in the garbage. Since I am not living in Colorado anymore I try to find products that remind me home. Your product however, reminded me of what it must have been like for the first man to eat tree bark covered in cheese.

Bought these at Whole Foods, decided to look up reviews after tasting.Weirdest tasting black bean and corn tamales, so weird that I would not call it a tamale. The masa tastes nothing like tamal masa. The filling has no flavor, just mushed beans with corn kernels. Do not advise trying these. Zero stars.

Flavored Cornmeal
Don't get me wrong they taste good....just very little filling. Kinda like eating flavored cornmeal. They look plump in the package but there is 2 layers of corn husk.
