Scalare River Sand, White, 4 kg

I bought two thinking I'd need it, this sand is extremely fine and a lot heavier than I thought. I'd suggest starting with one, as it makes cleaning a bit challenging due to the weight. Love the quality, and makes my tank look gorgeous.

This is very fine white sand, possibly the whitest thing I've ever seen. I don't know how you rate quality of sand tbh, but it is extremely sandy and extremely white.

This didn't take much washing as it was pretty much dust free straight out of the bag. This sand is bright white, which can be too much for some setups... It also makes any fish waste stand out and the tank look dirty after less than a day. I found that the sand was too fine, almost like a powder, making cleaning difficult. After less than a week, I ended up changing this for a different colour, coarser sand.

Love this sand, I have used this in my puffer tank and wow it’s white!! So soft and light.Does not pack down and trap gasses either.I have used various sands in the past including palm sands and this is far better and a great price too.Some aquatic sand is quite yellow but not this... this one bag covered my 90l tank quite well and my puffers love itWill definitely recommend and most likely buy more of!

Plays havoc with the Ph if you use in fish tank. It should say 'NOT SUITABLE' for fish tanks, unless you want Ph shooting out of scale..this one led my tanks Ph to go beyond 10… am now looking to get this out from my already established tank..what a headache..

The sand is pure white very good for creating dramatic environments. My corydoyras love moving it around looking for food much better than gravel for ther sensitive barbs

I give it a rinse before using, anyway, but it's really very clean and I get no cloudiness when it goes into the tanks. At first I was a bit shocked at the whiteness of the sand - the tanks looked snowed in - but it's helping the plants get a bit more light, and the fish don't seem to mind it.

looks like salt and brightens the tank very well and shows fish poop very well, but with a gravel cleaner this will all fly into the cleaner as the grains are so small, but you can pour it all back in again afterwards.
