IP based (works with WiFi only), phone notifications, video, 2-way audio, etc. The unit arrived quickly and well packaged. It has just one cable you need, to charge the device, yes it is truly wireless door bell. It’s solidly built and it looks perfectly ready to withstand the worst weather. The case is of the perfect size and I think the standard size of most door bells. And when first hooked up, the video signal is sharp and clear.There might be some more modern-looking devices, but what I needed, this device has all the functionality.It’s solid and versatile. It has everything you can ask for in an IP camera (video streaming on mobile and audio too) plus the added benefit of being able to watch and talk to a visitor, It might not be the most modern looking, but it’s certainly the most flexible.When I first used it, it had a firmware upgrade OTA (over the air) i did not have to plug in the device and after few minutes the upgrade was completed.The app is quite good too, has ability to take screenshot pictures and record video and you can view or play or share the videos at a later time. THe app does not need to remain open to get the bell rings it will ring like a normal phone call and you can answer the call just like a skype video call. You can also share the door bell with other mobile users in the house. Once the device is registered, it can not be used with another account so make sure if you are switching accounts or selling the device, you need to delete the device from the user account. I guess this is good as it adds an extra layer of security so no one can access the door bell without your consent.There are still a few features missing...ability to lock open my gate, for example. But for the price the features offered are just fine.I love this amazing device and would highly recommended to anyone !

First of all, it works, and does the purpose it is bought for. It does have lag when calling/motion detects and some times the Wifi connections drops, but mostly it does what is meant to do and you can talk with the people, when they ring.I tried to buy the chime as well, but the seller did leave me hanging after several messages that he promised that I'll be contacted to make the purchase. There are cheaper alternatives with the same hardware/look-and-feel and using the same app, so check them out before getting this one.

Not any use without an internal chime, otherwise a reasonable bit of kit.

DOESN'T WORK WITH MY GALAXY 7 EDGEBought this for four reasons. The Price. Free delivery to UK. WiFi and rechargeable battery operated.HardwarePoorly designed weak mounting frame was too flimsy. Mounted on wall. When I clipped unit in... Bottom two tabs fell off from force of me snapping it into place. Fail! Didn't even have a chance to test the security of the mini screws to hold unit in place. It could still hold unit from top tabs, but security from device majorly under question straight away. Security screws redundant.SoftwarePressed on, downloaded software from Android store. Connected device to WiFi.. The computer voice said (wee fi connected (sic)... Success... Tried ringing bell to test connection. Bell rang three times (not once) and a message says wee fi not connected. Please try connection again. (No homeowner ever wants a postman or visitor to hear a message like this after they've pressed the doorbell... Not ever. A true white elephant device.It became clearer that this device wasn't designed to work on UK WiFi (my carrier is good enough). The connection to WiFi Android screen has a link to an ominous text that says... Certain types of WiFi cannot connect, such as 5G and works best with 2G. Since I'm from the UK and regard WiFi as 4G and something straightforward and non technical. The link to this message was a major fail... Tried to get it to ring once. Never worked and followed the clear instructions... Which led to a dead end... Gave up after a few hours of persevering, and returned it. I never even go lt a chance to see the video quality from the doorbell point of view.In conclusion, I shouldn't have to distinguish between the technicalities of WiFi types, just to use a device, and this kind of device should be robust enough to handle snapping the unit in and out when it needs recharging with no fuss. If the tabs didn't snap off when they did... they would of done eventually, from them being so flimsy. So it was a blessing in disguise, I discovered it immediately during normal usage. The best thing about this purchase was Amazon's speedy drop off and collect service on refunds. It is a brilliant peace of mind if you receive a duff product.
