Well, here's the info everybody needs.... To enable it to be region / zone free you open eject the drawer and whilst it's open, with no disk, you press 1, 2 then 3 on the remote before closing the drawer. Bare in mind that you only have a few seconds to do this, as soon as the drawer opens. As for not playing UK disks / US disks, there is a reason for this. Even if it is sold for use in the UK, if it was produced in the US or it is a disk for use in the US, it is likely that the disc has DRM (Digital Rights Management) coding on the disc (note that UK / EU disks are not supposed to have this). The DRM is encoded at the beginning of the data and is supposed to prevent people from copying the disk thus forcing people to buy many copies of the same movie for use with different devices. Assuming you have an Apple laptop, a Windows PC, an Android Smart Phone and a Windows PC, you are expected to buy four (4) copies of the same movie. All BluRay and DVD players have the same issue with not playing some disks but it's not the players that are the problem, it's the disks. There should be a "reset" button somewhere on the player. If you do happen to lock it into one region / zone then simply reset the player to the factory settings and you will get your changes back again. You can reset players as often as you need to, without any problems thus meaning exactly what you want... an unlimited "amount of times you can change region". **Q: Does it have Amazon instant video app?** A: Judging by the "Amazon instant video" logo displayed prominently on the box alongside the iPlayer, Netflix and YouTube ones, I would expect so. **Q: Does this Bluray player have Coaxial output?** A: If it did, it would serve no purpose. Bluray content is HDCP protected and must be played via a HDCP HDMI interface. Co-axial would neither work nor, in all probability, have adequate bandwidth. **Q: Hi, what kind of usb sticks are compatible? also same for external hard drives, which ones work with it?** A: Any USB memory stick is compatable. The only thing you need to do is make sure it is formatted to be read by the player. Most will work immediately as new USB Memory Sticks will come pre-formatted or will automatically format when put into a device. If it doesn't automatically format it can be formatted via a PC. Once formatted, you can save almost all types of media formats for playing / viewing through this player. The other review that mentions MP4, MPEG etc. is only stating the "file formats" that can be read from the disc but the storage files formats are FAT and NTFS. Anything over 8GB can not be formatted to the old FAT format and will format to the NTFS storage system. So, if your memory stick does not work with this player, then it is most liely not of the correct foramt and you will need to enter it into a PC, go to "This PC" and open it. Right click on the Memory Stick Icon and select "Format" or "Format This Drive". The first issue is that it has so few apps available and the second issue is that it uses the exact same remote control as I use for my other Panasonic BluRay Player thus meaning if one is turned on, the other one, in a different room, also turns on. Putting the two little issues behind, this really is a good player, not as good as my Panasonic BluRay, 3D, 4k (UHD) player but it is only for an old HD TV so it's perfect. Setting Panasonic players up is quick and simple, the bremote control is a bit on the small side but has everything you need, including the Netflix Button. As with my other player, the Netflix Button is really handy as it removes the need for going into the apps first. My main TV is a 3D / UHD / 4K TV and it's a .... "Panasonic". My 3D / 4K / UHD DVD Player is a ..... "Panasonic" and this is a "Panasonic". I find Panasonic to be great value for money, is reliable and lasts a long time. I highly recommend this Player if you only need it for HD but for 4K you need a higher end model. This does upscale normal DVD discs to HD standard so it does transmit clear imaging that is a big improvement in the imaging.
