Devki is a loving wife, and a mother of two beautiful daughters, she seemingly has a perfect happy family. Yet, somehow the true happiness of being a mother eludes her. Arya, a sensitive girl cannot accept Devki and her love wholeheartedly. Arya believes, a daughter comes into a mother s life, but a mother does not enter the life of a daughter. Devki patiently waits for Arya s love and acceptance as she believes only a mother can truly understand the silence of her child. An unfortunate incident , further distances Arya and Devki, to a point of no return. In such a situation a mother has to make a choice not between what is wrong or right but between what is wrong and very wrong. What will Devki do in such a situation? Will she fight for her daughters love knowing the consequences she may have to face? What will a woman do when she is challenged?

Sridevi the Legend
After her spectacular return in the wondrous "English Vinglish", I couldn't wait to see what Sridevi would do next.I was not disappointed. Her performance in "Mom" is so intense and hard-hitting that I actually felt anxious and sick at times. Her pain and anger at her daughter's plight is raw and unrestrained.It is a very good film, but Sridevi's performance shook me and affected me more than any other I've seen this century - in any language. After seeing this, I thought that there couldn't be a single actress anywhere in the world to touch her. Not Meryl Streep, not anyone. Sridevi was in a league and class of her own.And then this supreme actress and icon died and I couldn't believe how upset I was. After all, I didn't know her. But sometimes in life, it is about what someone has meant to you. I felt the same years ago when the legendary Ingrid Bergman died.I can only wonder what other incredible performances Sridevi would have given us. It's so sad that there will be no more.

My friends, I am totally shocked that a film like this has come out of India. Secondly, the performance by the late Sridevi {Devki } is outstanding, playing the role of a stepmother to a teenage girl, who becomes the victim of a brutal gang rape.When the four who are accused are let off by the justice system... Devki decides to take matters into her own hands, together with the help of private eye, DK. Will she manage to bring the four culprits to justice, or will she be stopped by detective Mathew Francis?Everyone in the film is perfectly cast, and the chemistry between Sridevi and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, who is totally unrecognisable in the role of the private eye! A special mention also goes out to Sajal Ali, who plays the part of the stepdaughter with great professionalism and maturity.
