RØDE SC1 3.5mm TRRS Extension Cable 6M for Smartlav+ (20') TRRS

Though it's very long - I'd have preferred an option to have a shorter extension cable - it does work perfectly. I use it with half on the cable curled up and tie-wrapped. It is a very thin cable so I'm cautious that it's not left lying around where anyone can trip over it or a roller chair go over it.

I didn't expect to find much difference in an extension cable, but I've tried a few of these "trrs" style extensions and this was by far the best. This is expensive at nearly £20, but it does the job very well.There was noise introduced by many of these other leads, admittedly at a low level, but definitely audible (hum). This lead does not suffer the same issue. I cut open one of the "other" leads, and it was constructed correctly (properly shielded cable), but persumably the copper wasn't up-to-grade as it still performed badly.Not only does this lead perform well - it also is the the longest and the thinnest cable - making it much more practical to carry around.

Like all Rode gear it does what it should. Can’t fault it.

This adapter cable has a fairly specific purpose - adapt a microphone designed for a smartphone TRRS jack (e.g. a SmartLav+, or other headset compatible microphones designed for smartphone use), into a TRS jack (more commonly seen in mic inputs on computers, audio recorders, cameras etc). It does that perfectly well.But, it's a bit pricey for what it is! It's well enough built - but the cable has with no additional protection (e.g. braiding), the connectors are plastic (which is fine, but not as durable as metal, say). You can be pretty sure that the QC is excellent, as is the case with all RØDE products, and this item is unlikely to be defective. But I'm sure there are cheaper alternatives available...

Just a note for other hasty buyers like me - this DOES NOT work with a standard Rode Lav mic - this is designed for the iphone version of the Rode Lav. So if you are looking for an extension cable to plug an exiting stand Rode lav into your camera/sound recorder, then this is not the droid you are looking for.

Clean sound that works for video calls as much as recording webinars etc. Needed to get this adapter to use for recording videos so the recording can be direct to the mic instead of using a wireless mic.

I like that this is a certified product being made obviously by rode. I have used previous brands in the past for my lav microphones to my a6500 and I also hear a little hiss in my video that I have to clean up in post.I do not have that issue with this adapter so it means a much quicker edit for clients and youtube!Well done RODE!

This adaptor, when I plugged it in, resulted in no sound at all through the headphones. However, since my original review, I have tracked down the fault and it was not with the RODE SC3.This adaptor works just fine. My only worry is how long it will last, as it does not feel robustly made.So I have upped the number of stars accordingly and modified the review as a whole.

El cable está delgado y hay que tener cuidado de no jalarlo para evitar que se rompa, pero tiene buena fidelidad y el largo del cable facilita el uso y no pierde calidad de sonido…

Longueur plus que suffisante et souvent nécessaire et peu encombrant. Un must pour éviter les mauvaises surprises.
