**Q: can I download library books to Kobo?**
A: You can - and I have been for a few years now. It's not straightforward: not like a Kindle. You don't just click on a book and it's delivered. You have to download the epub book to your computer (which can be done directly from the library website). Then, you have to have Adobe Digital Editions (ADE), and (I think) an Adobe account to go with it (although both the program and the sign-up are free).

You then connect the Kobo to your computer, and (if it recognises it, which mine often doesn't unless I use a specific USB cable) the Kobo then appears in ADE; you then just drag and drop the book.

When it works, it's a matter of a few moments from selecting the book to having it on the Kobo: but "when it works" is pretty hit and miss. All that having been said, I use my Kobo to read library books for free, so the time I spend fiddling with it to get it to work is, for me, worth it....

**Q: Can anyone tell me whether it's possible to install the libby app onto the kobo? it's a library e-book app (google play/app store/microsoft)**
A: I’m not sure but I know you can use the OverDrive to book out digital library books.

**Q: Does this handle pdf files with mathematical formulas in?**
A: It has handled mine ok, I have maths and physics textbooks on it in pdf format.

**Q: Does this have access to, and play music?**
A: No

Bought this as a gift. Well the Kobo Glo and the Kobo Aura first edition are both much better than this, but it is still absolutely wonderful and better than a kindle. Why is it better than a kindle? 1. Well, in my experience so far, Kobos last longer. My poor kobo glo has been dropped a few times and still works perfectly, 4 years on. My father's kindle was taken really really good care of, and broke after 2 years. He is very happy with the kobo Aura I gave him to replace it. 2. You can load pretty much any format of book onto it, usually by clicking and dragging, but failing that use the free program Calibre. Kindles are far more limited. 3. You can have multiple press-for-definition dictionaries, so if you are bilingual or learning a language this is the only choice for you. Other than that they are the same product, so if those things don't bother you, flip a coin.
