Best in the market!
Amazing nail file. This is the file after 6 years of daily use. My nails are very brittle and I get to use the file a lot, not like industrially, but more than an average person. The case only broke this year and it's been in my handbag pretty much every time I leave the house. It efficient, it's quiet, it doesn't leave ragged edges and most importantly, it works without a fail.If you want a nail fail that'll last you forever - this is it! You will stop here. I'm looking for a tra el version now since I can't really take this case ari7nd, that is the only reason I'm back in the market for a nail file.Oh and it worked perfectly on all my fake nails too!

A really good nail file - better for your nails than cheap emery boards
I've always found it hard to grow my nails longer. I keep peeling at them whenever I feel a nick on the edge of my nails. I used to try and file the nicks away but found that they keep reappearing, which meant I kept peeling at them and they never grew very long or stayed long. It was only recently that I read somewhere online that this could be due to the fact I was using cheap emery boards (or even the ones that come on a styrofoam block). So I invested in this crystal nail file after doing some research saying that crystal nail files don't damage your nails like the cheap emery board or styrofoam block ones do. It's true! Ever since I started using this nail file, I'd file away nicks in my nail and I find my nail edges become quite strong after filing and they normally don't chip or develop nicks in them even after I've abused them, i.e. used my nails to open bottle caps, pry things off, etc. So I'm totally sold. Great investment. It might seem a lot of money spending so much on just a nail file. But it's actually not "just" a nail file. It's every bit more superior than cheaper files and it will last forever, never get worn out, if you take care of it (i.e. don't smash it by dropping it from a height, etc.) and it really leaves the edges of your nails stronger and thus your nails will grow long with little effort... unless you have a nail-biting problem... in which case you need to find another way of stopping yourself from biting them. My nails now grow long so very easily that the novelty of having long nails soon wore out with me (because I found them quite annoying, like when using touch-screen phone or tablet, etc) so I now file my nails down to about 1 to 2 mm longer than my nail bed - that's as long as I'll let them get because any longer and they start interfering with my activities. But yes it's nice to know that with this nail file, I can actually grow talons easily - that's if, I wanted talons. Which I don't.

Love but NOT 15/15.3cm...
I love the Leighton Denny Crystal Nail File - I had the double set in the white wallet years ago but they did break (my fault completely). I used to have the longer one at home and the smaller as a travel file. I have been looking at others and whilst you can get many cheaper, I know the effectiveness and longevity of this brand (nail varnish is really good too). I also ordered this one because of the travel case - bulky but well worth it.HOWEVER and yes it is a big however, as so many people in the reviews have stated it is not the advertised length stated in the dimensions. The file is only 13.5cm NOT 15/15.3cm - the case is 16.1cm - did they try and do an average and meet in the middle??!! I really need this file so I don't mind that it is 1.5cm shorter than it should be. It is still worth the money but for those points, that is why I gave an overall rating of 4 stars. It can take a bit to get used to it but really, this is the best file I've ever used - I have weak, soft nails that split and flake, using this daily really helps - no other file, crystal or not comes near it. Hope this helps!

Leighton Denny Crystal nail file
Great file I had one for over 10 years but dropped it recently and it broke so bought this new one and know it will be good. I have had other makes but not as good as this Leighton Denny one

Very good file
I have had the large size version for many years still going strong. Wanted a travel one It's great for my nails. It smooths them easily and is pleasant to use. Rough sandy type files scrub the nail this glides across and doesn't tear or wreck my nails. Bought two give as gifts. Pay a little more and only buy once. Wish I had known about them years ago so much better than metal or sand type file

Expensive but very, very good
This file costs a lot but it works superbly. I am not surprised at the ultra-long guarantee as it works without any pressure, whilst filing in both directions and leaves no sharp areas. The nail seems to dissolve into dust rather than be filed away. Highly recommended and if you have never tried one before or have nails that are forever chipping or breaking, this file will be a revelation.

Best Nail File I've Ever Had!
Having spent years buying emery boards and nail files which resemble sandpaper and which still left my nails rough, while paying handsomely for the privilege, I was intrigued to come across this nail file with its promise of being long-lasting and actually locking the edge of the nail so it didn’t catch.I noticed on first examining the file, it was very finely textured, a far cry from the usual sandpaper like nail files on the market, which are rough and course to the touch. Trying the file, I immediately found my nails were easy to shape, and more importantly the edges were left smooth and neat, meaning that for the first time ever, I didn’t have to go over them with a nail buffer to smooth them.Quite a bit of dust came from the nail when filing, showing it was definitely doing its job, without the usual catching and grinding that goes with filing. It was lovely being able to wash the nail file afterwards and getting rid of an trapped dust so that others could also use it. It cleaned thoroughly wen run under the tap and all dust was washed away. The only downside is the size; a good 4cm of the 13.5cm nail file comprises the handle, leaving less surface to work with. It’s also very narrow, at around 2cm at most. Be sure therefore this isn’t too small for you before buying.Personally I think the case, only the bottom of which is aluminium, is a bit of a gimmick but the file inside definitely lives up to its claims.
