MasterClass Black Marble Rolling Pin and Stand Set

When I first used this rolling pin I thought I never used something as efficient as this one (taking into account all shorts of kitchen tools I ever used not only rolling pins). It worked alone and it meeded one touch to make a thin and perfect pastry and the kitchen clean as if nobody had worked there. (In fact I made the pastry in a bowl, left it in the frig for a while and then put it between 2 baking sheets. With one touch I had my pastry ready). I was so excited that I brought it with me at work to show it to my colleagues and photograph it for the food magazise I work in. I entered the big glass entrance as usually in haste and hit the entrance door. The door did not collapse although the noise was awful but my perfect rolling pin broke in 2 pieces. This left me a bit perplexed and very dissapointed (not by the rolling pin but by the fact that I cannot use it and have to buy another). If you dont have the intension of taking it with you when you are in a hurry and if you dont let it fall down in your kitchen floor this is really the perfect rolling pin. What can you say about rolling pins? They are what they are, and I would have to be a tele-shopping presenter in order to be able to describe the positive attributes of them. However, compared to all the others I saw recently in a high street store, this is by far the heaviest and most impressive of them. I remember how in the old comedy sketches, wives would threaten to beat their husbands around the head with a rolling pin. Those were made of wood whilst this one is made of marble, and even tapping someone's bonce with this would most likely kill or maim them.It comes with its own little stand, which allows it to take pride of place in your kitchen as a kind of ornamental piece. It is a thing of beauty and much nicer than those basic wooden or plastic ones. We have black marble counter tops so the rolling pin just adds to the kitchen.The only bad thing that I can mention is that I've seen several retailers selling exactly the same rolling pin using their own brand. There is no maker's mark or label on it, so I can only presume that these are all sourced from the same origin and then sold as their own product. The price is always around the same - just under £20 too.

I was undecided in buying this, but i went for it. I'm so glad i did, without doubt it is by far the best 'pin' i have ever used.It has presence of size and weight, it stays cold as well which helps when doing pasta and pastry.It sits on the kitchen windowsill on the little plinth it comes with, and looks quite nice there too, always attracts attention when guests see it.It has been used by family and friends and they have purchased their own after trying it out, that says it all for me, better than any review.If you want a quality 'pin' you would be hard pressed to find one better than this and at the price you cannot go wrong.

I had a wooden rolling pin for over 15 years that finally broke. My family bought this one for me to replace it, hands down best rolling pin I have used. The marble is wonderful. Lovely weight to it. Looks great on the counter with the stand too. Has even double up as a pestle and mortar by using the end!

Not used yet so cannot comment on its use. Looks good and have no doubts will be ideal in use. Better than a wooden one as my old wooden one has split (although did have for a long time). Very heavy and cold, just whats needed for pastry.

This is the best Rolling Pin of all time. Always cool much needed when making pastry. It's heavy for even rolling and better results.Nice smooth feel for easier rolling. It comes with a useful stand for the work top . Ten out of ten.I love to cook and have had wooden and glass rolling pins, this one beats them all.

Quality of the product is amazing, smooth, clean and can be left out on the included holder. The marble is beautiful and the weight and shape is just right!

I wanted to make some pies, but as I put this on my kitchen counter top to roll out my pastry, it fell and broke into 3 pieces. I didn't think to take a picture and I know I should have been careful but a rolling pin mad of marble shouldn't be as fragile. Really disappointed. Wouldn't recommend.
