This product is a miracle! Heard it mentioned on Mumsnet and went to investigate. TBH found it hard to believe all the claims the manufacturers were making. Sounded a bit too good to be true. Well, it IS that fantastic!I developed a BO issue after my third child and putting some weight on. Even after showering + deo, within 2 hours my underarms would honk. I hated this stale smell of BO mixed with deo fragrance on my clothes, it would not even wash. Had to rub my garments with detergent before I put them in the wash, as they would still come out with that stale smell out of the washing machine. I was getting fed up and desperate. Tried every deodorant in the shops. None of them stopped BO. Went for some drastic ones like Perspirex and Dryclor in the end. They stopped the smell and any dampness, but turned my skin very sore. Although they said their effect will last 5-7 days, I would start getting a whiff on the second day, so had to apply them more frequently, cue very unhappy underarms skin.Now, thank you Mumsnet. I shall be eternally grateful for introducing me to this amazing product. I was very sceptical to start with, but Crystal is every bit as wonderful as it says on the tin! No more BO! None! Nil! Zilch! I can go to the gym and work my socks off and I do not smell. I do not need to rub armpits on my tops with detergent before I wash them! I feel liberated!The product has no smell/fragrance. My armpits just smell clean throughout the day, even when slightly damp from exercise. The only negative reviews on here are from people who did not use it correctly, so they should not be surprised the product did not work.The important bit is to only apply it to a very clean skin. And make sure your skin is wet. Rub it in generously, the more the better. If your skin started to dry after a shower, wet it again before rubbing the Deo on it. I do not wet the stick itself.I am so so happy with this product. I've been useing this for the last 6 months an still have at least another year or two left to go, my under arms are 100 times better than they were 6 months ago. No more deodorant stains on my clothes no more dodgy old deodorant smell an most of all B.O free.The last few days we have had a heat wave I will be honest by the end of the day there was a faint smell coming from the pits but even if you use deodorant cans you tend to get that anyway. It seemed like I was having to buy another tube of the stuff every two weeks or so! This product has effectively solved all these problems. My biggest surprise has been how effective it is. Unlike some of the other, highly fragranced offerings, this doesn't mask odour it simply kills it dead. And since this stick lasts at least a year it's way cheaper than even basic budget roll-ons. Hoorah!The stick is in the form of a solid lump of non fragranced crystal which winds up via a rotating base, rather like a lipstick. To use you simply twist and expose, wet it under the tap and then rub under your arm. Alternatively just rub it over wet skin, after a shower. And that's all there is to it. Just remember not to put it down on natural stone surfaces afterwards or you might damage them through interaction of the mineral salt.Before I go I must just add a cautionary note on the subject of \"natural ingredients\" Various other reviewers have commented that they've started to use this deodorant in order to steer clear of the aluminium found in roll-ons. Well, I'm afraid that \"natural mineral salt\" products like this don't avoid the problem. This stick is a chunk of ammonium alum, also known as ammonium aluminium sulfate. Ammonium alum is manufactured from aluminium hydroxide, sulfuric acid and ammonium sulfate. Yes, it might also - rarely - occur naturally as a mineral salt, but don't go thinking you'll avoid aluminium ions if that's your goal in life. It is easy and smooth to apply, and doesn't leave my skin dry/white/irritated like others have in the past.
