In-Depth history of Rocket design- Excellent reference book
I've been buying a lot of these Haynes "Owner's Workshop Manual" recently. They are an excellent reference item when building model kits and easy to read as a stand alone book. They follow a standard format- history, variants, Use and Maintenance. The books are usually written by former user/experts and are always very informative. Also, the quality of photos and illustrations are second to none, often showing the unseen/hard to get to areas. Haynes are onto a winner with these, as they are an excellent addition to a reference library.

It would be better if it had more on Soviet era rockets particularly ...
Very thorough overivew of Rockets and their history from an American perspective. It would be better if it had more on Soviet era rockets particularly in the 50s and early 60s when they were winning the space race. (During the time when they had the first satellite, first animal in space, first man in space, first space walk etc).

Great book
Very interesting and comprehensive guide to rocketry. Some errors in their fuel chemistry formulae & equations!

Good
Very well done within a relatively limited space. Very nice drawings. The approach is an historical one, which works well enough in this context. It's a pity that, as other have noticed, the latest commercial rockets aren't covered, but they're still really under development as yet.
