Tamiya’s 1/35 scale Military series is ideal for constructing diorama’s. The details on the subjects are incredible and extremely accurate right down to the expressions on the soldiers’ faces. Tamiya has a reputation for detail and accuracy and this series is a perfect example of this. The Tamiya designers work from measurements and thousands of picture references of the full sizes vehicles, including every detail and facet, to produce the most detailed models in this scale in the world. The quality of these models is such that many museums around the world use the Tamiya 1/35 Military Miniature Series to depict history to the visiting public. As with all Tamiya items, instructions are clear and concise, in order to allow the modeller to build a detailed model with relative ease. If put to a question, "Which was the best German tank during the war?" The majority of the people, without hesitation will answer the name "Panther". It is known that the PZKW-IV and the Tiger-II tanks were also produced by German technology and were both outstanding tanks. But the PZKW-IV was meant to be replaced by the Panther, and the Panther, showing improved attacking and defensive powers and accurate manoeuvre ability on the field, soon became the German's main strength tank. ## Features - Tamiya branded ready-to-assemble plastic precision static model kit. It is supplied unpainted and is ideal for model makers and painters! - Required to complete: cement, paint and finishing supplies. - Highly detailed German Panther Medium Tank design. The assembly kit also includes two figures (a full body tank commander and a driver torso). The model depicts the Ausf.A variant of the renowned German World War II tank Panzerkampfwagen V Panther. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Age Range Description | adults, teenagers | | Art Craft Kit Type | Model Kit | | Asin | B000WNAEJ2 | | Best Sellers Rank | 29,253 in Toys & Games (See Top 100 in Toys & Games) 4 in Tank Model Building Kits | | Brand Name | Tamiya | | Colour | Earth tone | | Country Of Origin | Japan | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars (2,135) 4.5 out of 5 stars | | Global Trade Identification Number | 04950344995479 | | Included Components | assembly kit | | Item Dimensions | 19.6 x 9.8 x 8.5 centimetres | | Item Type Name | 35065 GER.PANTHER MED.TANK | | Item Weight | 0.79 Pounds | | Manufacturer | Tamiya | | Manufacturer Part Number | 35065 | | Material Type | Plastic | | Model Name | Panther A (2) | | Model Number | TM35065 | | Number Of Packs | 1 | | Number Of Pieces | 1 | | Paint Type | Acrylic | | Product Style | Classic | | Product Warranty | 30-day right of return | | Scale | 1:35 Scale | | Seasons | All Seasons | | Set Name | German Panther Ausf A Tank Model Kit | | Size | 1:35 | | Special Features | tamiya, 1.35, wwii dt. sdkfz.171 panth | | Subject Character | GERMAN PANTHER TANK | | Target Audience | unisex | | Theme | Military | | Unit Count | 358.338 gram | | Upc | 950344995473 | ## Product Details - **Age range (description):** adults, teenagers - **Brand:** Tamiya - **Colour:** Earth tone - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 19.6 x 9.8 x 8.5 centimetres - **Theme:** Military ## Images ![German Panther Medium Tank - 1:35 Plastic Model Kit 35065 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/811roNTIKuL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: Are the tracks rubber or made up of individual plastic links?** A: Rubber on this kit. Not all Tamika tanks are rubber tracked though for example my tiger 1 came with individual plastic links **Q: Is this 256mm length including the turret?** A: Including the gun, yes. Body length 200 mm, cannon extra 56mm. **Q: is there a colour scheme i should use for this model?** A: The base colour should be dark yellow on this particular vehicle, Tamiya XF-60 is a reasonable colour to use for this. Cammo patern was general applied using red brown and olive green sprayed in various different styles. Google searching “panther cammo schemes” will help your choice **Q: Do you need to buy paint glue and brushes** A: Yes, none are included with the kit. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bargain!! (Shipped from Germany so 3 Unit Decals missing everything else intact) *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 11 July 2022* I'll say more about the decals below but firstly:1 A GREAT VALUE KIT: 1/35 tank with two figures for less than £15!2 This is a fantastic kit to learn on, try out weathering techniques, learn to make zimmerit, or to upgrade your other modelling skills without breaking the bank3 THIS KIT IS OLD (1969 stamped on lower hull) so don't expect slide molded barrels or photoetch,4 It's the later Ausf A version of the Panther, so has the hull mounted MG34, modified Turret etc. appeared in summer of 1943 and saw service from ten till end of war with over 2000 made. I yu want the earlier D or final G, you will need to look elsewhere.5 Figures are a little soft on face detail it also has elastic band type tracks (meh!) These can be replaced if you want to spend more money!6 The model could be motorised with the right after market parts, as it has holes in the base of the hull for switches etc. and the upper part of the hull is designed to be removable. (Again, this is more money)Finally:7 THE DECALS issue: I noticed that quite a few reviewers have complained about missing items from the Decal sheet, 3 items to be precise. My copy shipped from Germany and I would expect any unit markings or SS/Nazi symbols to be either missing or inked out. It is illegal to sell and display these types of symbols in Germany (ad a lot of other countries) and can lead to fines or even a prison sentence. All the other decals are there with options for 3 tanks. So, if that tiny yellow icon missing from the sheet is bugging you that much, just splash a bit of "mud" on the hull where the missing item would be placed and no one is going to know! Alternatively, buy some aftermarket decals! (More money)I highly recommend this kit, great fun and easy to buildP.S. glue and paint sold separately ;) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nicely moulded. Parts fit well. Great value. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 12 April 2019* One dislike here is that sometimes the assembly instructions are a little unclear in places. The other is with the tracks. The method in the instruction sheet for joining the tracks is to use a hot screwdriver blade to make a "mushroom" head of the 4 pins that you press through the end of the tracks to make the join. This is very unsatisfactory and the end result is that when you start to fit the tracks to the road wheels, the head on the "mushroom" easily pulls out. I resorted to joining the ends of the tracks using a needle and thread, simply looping the thread through the holes in the tracks and tying off. A dab of polystyrene cement on the threads stops them from unravelling. Otherwise this is a fabulous kit to build, with any number of moveable items, which shows that is is sourced from a Tamiya motorised kit originally. A nice feature is that the top and bottom halves of the hull do not need to be cemented together. There is a neat clip which allows the parts to be slid together and locked. This means that they can be separated, if required, at some point in the future. Great value for money and once finished and painted I expect my Grandson will be delighted. The first picture is partially finished. The second, completed and painted. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good kit as my 12 year old stated but has some issues *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 18 October 2026* Old kit as my son said.it was a fairly easy build for a 12 year old however he said the tracks do not fit properly and had to thread string through it.it was a very good price but it was hiding its age ## Frequently Bought Together - Tamiya Models German Pzkfw V Panther Ausf A Model Kit - Model Color WWII German Armour - Tamiya 87038 Extra Thin Cement Glue Fine Tip 40ml --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.be/products/47993631-german-panther-medium-tank-1-35-plastic-model-kit-35065](https://www.desertcart.be/products/47993631-german-panther-medium-tank-1-35-plastic-model-kit-35065) --- *Product available on Desertcart Belgium* *Store origin: BE* *Last updated: 2026-11-06*
