A must have for balance calibration
I've got this same weight from Ebay with free shipping - it was much less expensive than on Amazon. The weight has a cast cavity, which is plugged with a round plug and screw. The plug is pressed in the weight and you really need to remove it to access the cavity and all adjusting weights (there were quite a few of them).The weight arrived with some chipped paint and the cavity contained some dirt. I have decided to clean the weight, re-paint and re-calibrate it afterwards. I think it ended up with being class F2 weight. It is being used to calibrate a balance with .1 gram resolution, for which you really need class F1 weight, but they are so expensive that I don't even think about it.Inexpensive Chinese balances can be great, but they have to be calibrated right before the measurement and this calibration weight has made it possible. I consider the money spent a good investment.
