Art: The Whole Story Paperback – 20 Sept. 2010

I've been trying to find something wrong with this superb book - and Amazon's delivery of it - but I can't, I really can't. It's top quality through and through, an overview of mankind's (and not just Europeans') immense creativity, beautifully presented, and complete with insightful, down-to-earth analysis that avoids the flowery language beloved of too many art critics. This is our human heritage - look, see, and be amazed. A book you can be proud of owning.

There was an issue in shipping and the book was therefore returned back to the seller. Despite this, the seller resent the item and it arrived before I even realised there was an issue! Great item, and fantastic service. Highly recommend this seller.

Great book, concise story of major and some minor art movements. A good quick reference book.

It's all that I hoped it would be! Easy to peruse but still comprehensive with good quality prints. Great value for money.

Fantastic book to introduce year 7 students to the world if art. Great pictures and usual facts. Must have to start your journey into art.

This is an excellent reference book, full of useful pictures and analysis. My only complaint is the small size. The book feels a bit "cramped" and some of the fonts are tiny.

An amazing book! Fascinating all the way through, a real page turner. Through this book I came to realise that I prefer modern art, especially Impressionism and Post-Impressionism.

Studying Art History at the moment and this book is just the job. Great for dipping into. Glad I bought it.
