Jimmy in top form
The first Christmas song I heard Jimmy sing was Christmas in the Caribbean, which was on the multi-artist MCA album Tennessee Christmas . As this album is also on MCA, it would have been nice if that track had been added to this album, but there's still enough great music to satisfy me here.The album opens with a cover of Christmas Island and also includes a cover of Mele Kalikamaka, both songs associated with the Andrews Sisters. Being a huge fan of them, you won't get me to say that Jimmy's versions are better than theirs, but his versions are distinctive and quite impressive. I'm glad he covered these songs.Jimmy co-wrote three original songs for the album (A sailor's Christmas, Ho ho ho and a bottle of rum, Merry Christmas Alabama), all of them excellent. Th title of the last-named is a little misleading, as Jimmy offers Christmas greetings to several states, but that's OK as the title would be clumsy if it included them all :-)Distinctive covers of Jingle bells, Happy Xmas war is over, Up on the housetop, Run Rudolph run and I'll be home for Christmas complete an excellent album.

Disappointing
Not great! Only one decent track on it.I was looking for something Hawaiian, but this cd does not sound anything like Hawaii.
