The Trapper T-Rex Rat Trap is a state-of-the-art mechanical trap that offers superior rat capture. Patented interlocking teeth make rat escape virtually impossible. With T-Rex you'll get the perfect combination of trigger sensitivity and trap velocity – speed and responsiveness that ensure a successful and deadly capture. Easy to set and safer to use than traditional snap traps, the T-Rex can be placed directly in a Protecta Rat Bait Station ( Sold Separately), or tied to pipes or beams that rats may use as highways. A bait cup in the center of the trigger pedal makes it easy to add baits including Bell's new Provoke Rat Attractant. (Sold Separately) USE: Place trap along baseboards or in a corner for best results. You can use nuts, nesting material like a small piece of cotton, or small amount of nutella in the trap for bait. Trapper T-REX offers superior rat capture. Patented, interlocking teeth make rat escapes virtually impossible. The trap is a perfect combination of trigger sensitivity and trap velocity -- speed and responsiveness ensure capture. Extensive field and laboratory testing fine-tuned Trapper T-REX to optimum specifications. Safer and easier to use than competitor's snap traps, Trapper T-REX can be readily set by foot safely on the ground. Press the trap open like a pedal, keeping fingers free and safe. Bell included a removable bait cup that inserts from the bottom of Trapper T-REX. The cup can be withdrawn and re-inserted without the trap being set, which greatly enhances safety and ease of use. You can use Trapper T-REX along a rat pathway. Or you can insert it into a tamper-resistant bait station.

Sorry, not authentic T-Rex rat traps, not even close...
I am getting VERY frustrated. I've ordered supposedly "Trapper T-Rex" rat traps 4 times now on Amazon, and only the 1st time did I get actual authentic Trapper T-Rex traps, the last three times I have had to send back because I was sent cheap knockoffs. The picture on these 6 traps clearly shows the embossed Trapper T-Rex marking, but look at the pictures I attached and see what I got...This is very frustrating Amazon, people shouldn't be able to post inaccurate pictures of products, are you monitoring this???Frustrated...

Traps work very well; larger orders should seek price options
I have a farm. Although I had seen rats in the livestock barn before, I also saw a fat rat snake in the barn, and I thought s/he was catching them. Wrong. They just moved up much closer to the house, to the Dutch toolroom barn, my henhouse, and separate quarters for a brooder and roosting area for the guineafowl. If I could find the snake and bring him up here, I would, but I haven't been able to locate him. So I bought a couple electronic traps that I thought were large enough for rats, and I bought six of these T rex traps. I haven't yet caught anything in the electronic traps, but I've caught three rats in two days with these snap traps. Death is not instantaneous, which is why I bought the electronic traps. But it's fairly quick. These seem a bit large to be effective with small mice. The same company makes some mini-T rex traps for mice, however, and Amazon has the best deal I've found on those. But if you're looking for the T rex snap rat traps and think you'll need a multitude of them, I'd suggest looking at doyourownpestcontrol.com, which has heavy discounts for larger orders. I've already placed an order with that company because I clearly have a major infestation, and I never again will go through this experience unprepared. Rats are incredibly destructive, so the sooner I quell this invasion, the less damage I'll have to deal with.

but I'm glad they are gone now
We woke up to a flooded kitchen. at firsts we thought the dishwasher failed, but then quickly realized it was a rat that chewed through a water hose. what an expensive RAT! we bought several of different traps and this is the only one that caught not one but TWO rats in less than a week! I wish I had this before the rats caused so much damage, but I'm glad they are gone now!

These traps worked pretty well. After a while the rats learned to drag these off so we had to stake them to the ground. Also had to change the bait around. Some of the rats learned to escape the trap. Glad about the rats these did catch.

Buy these now!
I live in South Florida (transplant from North). Horrified by the rats so friend recommended these. I have had them out for less than 1 hour and already caught 3 that I can see. I was advised to tie them down or tie them to a tree as the rats will run off with them. I did that and it worked like a charm. A little nervous about clean up tomorrow but can't believe how effective these are

Definitely recommend tying it down with more than just string
Definitely recommend tying it down with more than just string. Caught a rodent, it chewed the string and took off with the trap.

Works well after multiple uses
They seem to work well for repeated use. I previously bought a different brand that only lasted a couple uses. These have been used multiple times. We keep the traps set at each end of our garage door and it repeatedly does the job.

The best Rat Trap
Great way to kill rats. Easy disposal of carcass - just open and drop in bag. Re-usable. Needs instruction for safe use by novices. Best results if used inside a Bell Labs AMBUSH bait station.
