Will this work with Canon5D mark iii

It sure does. Works a treat with the 5D Mark III. And shooting at 6 fps is no problem with its write speed. Enjoy.

Is it suitable for a Canon 5D

The SanDisk Extreme Pro works just fine with my 5D mark iv. However, be aware of just how big some files could be. Recent jpg files have ranged between 4 and 17.5 Mbytes, 4000 and 914 photos filling a 16Gb card. If you are going to save in Dual Pixel Raw format, they can go as big as 90 Mb for a high ISO picture, only 177 pictures filling the card. I played safe and bought the 128 Gb version, to be confident of having more than enough for a weekend away.
