A great HACK for interrupting battery power on a device.. ie: a Smoke Alarm when there's no fire.
A triumph. I have smoke alarm ... that always goes off when I make toast. I was tired of climbing up to the ceiling to turn it off. I created this little "hack" using this device, just adding an old RCA plug. If you understand how this works, then this is for you. The RCA jack completes the circuit. Unplug it, and the circuit is disconnected. If you don't understand this, then don't try it.. best to put up with your toast setting off the smoke alarm, :-)

This is a life saver. I may need more.
I never knew about this kind of item until I read about it online and saw videos. The world is our oyster now that we can convert any toy to be more usable. This item made the decision to invest in a jelly bean button and know we could use toys that we wanted. No longer shopping for those expensive toys with a jack. A THOUSAND THANK YOUS!!!!!

Make it work as needed!
I bought one of these a while back to try my hand at making my own switch toys to save $100's of dollars. After finding just the right toy, we came home to find it wouldn't work as we thought. But with a little bit of thought, we just cut off the end and attached the cable wires straight to the switch button on the toy itself. We ordered many more and my son had an amazing birthday and Christmas filled with toys, instead of just one, he could actually use (without breaking our piggy bank). No drilling required, just a bit of sewing and electrical tape. Not used as expected, but worth the easy adaptation. Ordering more to try with an battery fan next, fingers are crossed that it works as intended.

Didn’t work, giving it one more chance
Battery interrupter didn’t work. I had a back up plan that took an extra 10 minutes for my son’s string lights to work. I think the problem many have with this interrupter not working could be the big blob of solder holding the wires together. It is considerably less conductive than copper and makes placement between the battery and the battery spring contact difficult. I tried my inexperienced hand at making my own battery interrupter and was successful. I purchased female end 3.5mm stereo cable, a small set of metal files, and copper sticky-back paper (in the picture it’s the copper foil tape with conductive adhesive, grounding). I already had electrical tape, scissors, and a small, thin piece of cardboard. That’s all you need to make your own. I really hope the next one I receive will work while knowing I can make my own easily- it’s just setting the time aside and it’s 10 minutes of my time I’d rather be doing something else- the whole purpose in purchasing a ready to go battery interrupter.

Switch adaptive!
This works perfect for my sons toys that are a built in switch adaptive toy. Now he can play with whatever you he wants with his switch!

quick and easy toy adapting
not always sturdy- thankfully I know how to solder if needed.

Not Flexible
Worked for one toy and then broke when I attempted to put it in another toy. Plastic casing on battery toys now don't allow for the disc to properly for so you have to shove it in at a angle making it more susceptible to break. I would advice finding a flexible interrupter

It really works
My daughter is special needs. I used the interrupter on a light that changes colors and added a jelly bean switch so she can turn it off and on by herself.

Didn't work at all
Put it in multiple toys and it never worked. Spent over 20 minutes trying to make it work. at $40 CAD a piece this is not worth it at all. Please do not buy this.
