The slight downside of the generously equipped kit is that it's rather difficult to pack it all away again in the supplied case. As an introductory product it would be nice to keep it all together, but once unpacked it's near impossible to fit it all back in. That being said, if you take out the breadboard it is doable. All in all this does what it supposed to do very well. You are paying a slight premium for what you actually get, but it's worth the price to have everything you need in a single kit. This kit includes an arduino, some common sensors and components plus software and projects to get you started and familiar with programming one of these devices. There are many examples of people having connected an Arduino to the net for various reasons, but there aren’t any projects in this kit that do that, and you’d need to get a Wi-fi module or Ethernet module to connect it to your network. I recommend getting one of Simon Monk’s books on arduino. They’ll teach you all you need to know and he has examples of connecting an Arduino to the Internet.
