From the manufacturer About us Thanks to an understanding of local needs and standards, Manrose are able to design products that are ideally suited to UK installers and fully compliant with the latest legislation. And that commitment to quality has also enabled us to make highly profitable inroads into the Far Eastern markets, reversing the general trend and creating more exports for the UK. At the heart of Manrose's operation is a total commitment to the UK market, evidenced by the ongoing expansion of manufacturing facilities. Our production facility is fully operational and we operate 27 state-of-the-art moulding machines, ranging from 25 tonnes to 450 tonnes. Our capabilities also include three extrusion machines for flat channel ducting, as well as five machines for the production of PVC and aluminium foil ducting.

Review: Does the job well - Very pleased with the extractor, easy to install. Quiet and does its job very well.
Review: Fan-tastic! - This fan does make noise as you would expect from a spinning electrical device; however, unlike our previous 10-year-old fan (that this replaced) the noise is substantially less. It is not silent by any means however the key difference for me is the motor noise/vibration does not transmit in the wall. This key difference means the fan is inaudible in other rooms (or outside the bathroom door) and makes a huge difference in our home. The flow rate of this fan this wipes the floor compared with our previous fan. We used to leave the old fan on all day simply because the walls were sopping wet! Now with the new fan, the walls are still damp after a power shower but they are dry after the 30-minute run-on duration (I set it to the max so that we can turn the fan off and know the room will still dry out). Duration kind of doesn't matter however since the fan is silent outside the room and you could, in theory, leave it on since it is also approximately 1/3rd the power use compared with our old model. It is also worth noting that technology seems to have moved on and the enclosure is a lot neater than our previous fan, in fact, it looks half the size from a bulk perspective and sits much tighter to the wall. It is a 100mm square/standard-fit so there was only a little drilling to seat new screw locations in the wall and the wiring was straightforward enough since the old fan was a similar run-on model so there was already a switched live. Another thing to note is there are no side entry grommets for the wiring so our old surface-mounted wiring required me to creatively adapt the case with a small hacksaw so that the wiring could enter the chassis. Now I'm guessing in a newer house than ours with plasterboard this would be fitted with rear entry cabling however in an older solid wall house you are left with wire chasing or case adaption (I choose the later). There is no led/light on this model (which was an oversite on my part) so I will now have to replace the pull cord switch in the ceiling since there is no other way to tell if the switch is ON/OFF other than waiting 30 minutes to see (if it is important to you that this is visible on the fan itself then I suggest another model with integral on/off light). All in all, I'm happy with the fan and would definitely buy this again should the need arise.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Can it be used in small toilet**
A: Yes, mine is installed in a small toilet with hand wash basin, it's perfect.

**Q: My wire has only live and neutral, it doesn't work either connecting live to either 'permanent live' or 'switched live', advice please!!!**
A: If you have only one Live supply - assumed to be from a (light?) switch - then you must connect both the Permanent Live and the Switched Live to that Live supply for the Fan to work when the switch is made. This Fan is designed to continue working after the Switched Live is not powered. The Permanent Live supplies the power to the electronics and the Switched Live tells the electronics to switch the Fan on. After the Switched Live power is removed the electronics keeps the Fan running for a set time, hence the need for a Permanent Live. With a single Live supply the Fan will only run when the Live supply is powered. There will be no Fan over-run. This is how it works with my installation. Please ensure all power is off before connecting the supply. If you are in any doubt seek professional advice.

**Q: What colour is it?**
A: It's Yeti white with a hint of Madagascan Vanilli

**Q: We have an older manrose 100t , works fine , timer 1 works .Trouble is the bathroom is freezing ! Does this one let all your heat out too !**
A: Of course it lets heat out. How on earth do you think it could do otherwise?

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great except timer accuracy
*by M***D on 20 January 2024*

I bought this to replace an Emma, which I think is the same maker, but an older name, Apart from the barrel around the fan being perhaps 1mm wider which made it a bit of a squeeze getting it in, it went in very easily and the addition of a "chocolate block" to screw the electric wires in is very handy as the holes and screws are larger than the very small block on the previous one. All done in 10 minutes. Then the fun started. The scale on the timer does not reflect the accurate "off" time and it took me well over an hour of fiddling to set it to the required "off" time. I am lucky I have enough room between the fan housing and the ceiling to use a small watch screwdriver otherwise it would have had to come off the wall 4 times because my cables are not long enough to pull it out of the wall with them attached. I have left the small lugs out of the cover screw holes for now to check the timer remains accurate - it's a shame because otherwise it was very straight-forward. I will say it is quiet compared to the other one and worth the approx. £9 difference between the standard timer one.
