I am very interested in what’s going on with electric vehicles and if you are too I think you will enjoy this book.

Ein Buch, das einem einen sehr guten Einblick in die Entstehung der E-Mobilität gibt. Nicht denken, in diesem Buch geht es nur um Elon Musk und Tesla. Es geht hier vielmehr um Elektroautos allgemein und um viele andere Start-Ups in dieser Branche. Meiner Meinung nach werden an einigen Stellen viel zu viele Namen genannt, was, vor allem bei den vielen asiatischen Namen in einigen Kapiteln, sehr verwirren kann. Da kommt man bei den vielen ähnlich klingenden (Firmen-)Namen sehr schnell durcheinander und weiß gar nicht mehr, über wen und was genau geschrieben wird.Es ist dennoch ein sehr gut recherchiertes Buch.Wer mehr über Elon Musk als Person und über seine Unternehmen erfahren möchte, sollte sich unbedingt "Elon Musk" von Ashlee Vance zulegen.

I was already familiar with the author via his writings for PandoDaily, a Silicon Valley tech news site. I always especially enjoyed his long form articles, so I was delighted to find out he wrote an entire book!I found his articles to be well written, meticulously researched, and thought-provoking, and this book did not disappoint. It was all the usual goodness for several hundred pages.The book is a comprehensive look at the electric car landscape, so it would be a compelling and satisfying read for anyone generally curious in the technology because of the depth and detail in which he goes. This was my primary interest for reading it.I also think the book would be an interesting read from a business/entrepreneurship perspective. As the book's title suggests, Insane Mode could also be used to describe the ferociousness of Elon Musk and Tesla overcoming obstacles.Overall, definitely worth a read.Cheers

a great story detailing the rise of Electric Vehicles and a good glimpse into how hard it must have been.Not only to design a world-class car that the public wants to buy and enjoys driving but to actually create the industry itself on a completely blank canvas.A true update of where the current global industry not only wants to be but has to be to compete with Tesla and apapt to the changing landscape of our oil-free and clean energy future.Hope, Elon, and the team get a fair shake in the future and people start to believe that such imaginative innovation is now possible.It would be exceptional to see a fleet of long-range supercharger drones in the future so those still with any reservations about electric can just auto summon and sit back wait and relax for electricity to come to them no matter the distance they are from a supercharger.All the best for the future Tesla.
