The solar powered light has a large solar panel that enables it to provide a bright white light. There are two power settings plus 'off' and the lowest setting (which still provides a reasonably bright light) allows the light to run for five or six hours.My only complaint is the sensor automatically switches on the light even when ambient lighting levels are still high, thus wasting power.The other slight design failing is the solar panel would be better mounted on a ball joint as opposed to a hinge. I realise the hinge arrangement is preferred to make the cabling simpler, but a ball joint would allow the solar panel to be oriented to receive the maximum amount of sunlight irrespective of the direction the spotlight was directed, but that's a minor complaint.Given the very reasonable price I think this is a good product. I might even buy a few more.

I bought these to provide a more sophisticated way of subtlely illuminating part of my garden, without, in my opinion, resorting to more tacky multicoloured Christmas tree style lighting. They are more pricey which is a downside, but i was prepared to pay more as they provide an adjustable much brighter white spot illumination. I have them illuminating several potted plants in my garden; they are hidden from view and have got the desired effect. There are 2 brightness levels, I have them on the lower which is more than enough for the subtle lighting without keeping up the neighbours!A minor gripe, hence 4 stars as would have liked to have seen a 360 degrees adjustable solar panel.

The button is a little tricky as you don't know what they are on until it's dark enough for them to light up, but they are great uplighters and produce a soft cool lightUpdate for 2019, and all but one of our four lights are still working, so happy with them - we live by the coast so others have just corroded away, three are still going strong!

First impressions are very good. I purchased 4 and 1 doesn’t look as bright but hopefully it’s because it didn’t get quite as much charge as needed, so we’ll see. For solar they are as bright as I hoped they’d would be, sure not as bright as electric but I didn’t have expectations that they would be.

Ordered 2 sets 4 spot lights in total arrived quickly 3 working fine giving good light 1 not working at all the 4 lights were set up to charge together so it's not something I have done wrong it would cost about the same in postage to return so no point will just use the other3

I've only had this product for about one month and it is Autum/Winter. I can only say that so far I'm impressed. We have had no sun, yet they are still working. Not as long if it was summer but I am getting around 4 hours of constant light which is great. We are dark here now from around 3.30pm so I'm impressed with the length of light I am getting. And they really do shine - I can see in the garden when I take the dog out. As far as I'm concerned I would definately recommend this product.

They give out a good light though they are not charging too well with the limited autumn sun so only lasting a couple of hours, i do think when spring come around again that they will be very good, i just bought them the wrong time of year.

Nice and bright, having a dim setting is good. Hard to tell how long the lamp will remain on till we have some summer sun to give it a good charge. Bit worried when instructions said you cannot replace the battery though!
