Gymboss miniMAX Interval Timer and Stopwatch - CAMOUFLAGE/TAN SOFTCOAT

Works well easy to understand and program. Does what it should. Bought to replace a boxing timer that does only 12 rounds, this offers 25 intervals repeatable 99 times. Seems a reasonable solid build but requires care. Not the sort of thing you would tread on on gym floor, but would presume it would survive a fall or drop out running in or out of your pocket. Would have liked to have seen timer digits a bit bigger and a backlight included especially for out door use. GYMBOSS CHARGE version includes a light. However GYMBOSS charge is intended to go in bin when battery fails to recharge properly.

Easy to use 'even for me', neat, compact & handy for outdoor or indoor training. Good volume, doesn't get in the way as you can clip it on your clothing or hold it as it's light in weight & worth every penny. :-)

I have only used this 4 or 5 times in the gym and a few times for bag workouts so I can't yet comment on robustness etc; but I find it easylum to use sound is loud vibration is strong and functionality is good.

I really like it, once you learn how to use it, it's fine. I used youtube to figure out how to use it. Many useful videos.I can set up many programmes in this model. The other model, you're stuck with one.Sometimes I want 10 secs with 5secs rest, sometimes i need 30seconds with 10secs rest, sometimes 1 minute with 10sec rest, i can just choose which programme i want to use.You have the option for high beep/low beep/vibration

Reading the previous reviews about the difficulty in setting gym boss up I was a little bit worried as I'm not that technical . But a quick look on you tube , it was a peice of cake , excellent product allowing me to concentrate on my kettlebell swing form without having to look at my clock !!!

Having a back-lighter on the display screen for winter use outdoors would have made it even better but I suppose it's called *Gym*boss for a reason. As another reviewer says below, if you've looked for a device like this then you probably need it. So, which is better ? A phone app or this ? I like this because my phone belongs to my employer so don't want to damage it on a run or in the gym.

great product, use it in my fitness classes I take all the time and helps me not have to look at a watch while watching the clients.But make a note of your timer plans as when the battery runs out you have to reprogram all them in again. annoying but not the end of the world

Not the most user friendly interface, but considering its price, you cant expect much. Stopwatch was good and interval options also sufficient. Build quality is pretty reflective of price. Surrounding body seems sturdy enough being clunky plastic - however screen needs more protection. Considering its exposed position, a protective brace or more solid screen would be good.Had it for 3 days - then screen damaged - making it pretty pointless to use. Clipped corner of a wall during interval running, seems the designed spot for the device, be it clipped to your hip, is not the best if running. A simple slip and its now a piece of plastic not worthy to carry.You've got work to do GymBoss - think about its use. Majority of environments in which this is to be used isn't all soft padding and delicate motions. You need a rugged outerbody to be a real workout tool

I have another timer just like this that I've had for almost 2 years now, and I love it. The setup is easy, finding your saved workouts is easy, and it's a small, convenient size. The clip on the back of it also seems really sturdy and snug, so it won't fall off if you have it clipped on while running, or something. It beeps when the intervals are up, and even gives you options for what kind of alarm you want: loud, regular beep, or vibrate. It has options for other kinds of workouts, like crossfit, and it has a stopwatch option, but I only use it for interval training. The thing that would make it perfect is if it could hold more than 5 workouts for each option. That's why I have 2 now, so it gives me 10 saved interval workout programs. I think it's a really great tool to have for exercise, and it makes exercising fun.
