Spear & Jackson 5LPAPS 5 Litre Pump Action Pressure Sprayer

I have put planters on the roof of my narrowboat, so I bought this to make the watering easier, because I'm too old and stiff to climb on to the roof. It's brilliant! It's easy to use, I got the 5 litre size because I didn't want it to be too heavy, there's still some clambering about to be done! I am really impressed with it, a very effective gadget, and reasonably priced. If, like me, you're on a boat, and you're using canal/river water for watering your plants, remember to use a filter of some kind when filling it up so it doesn't get clogged, I used a small sieve.

Well made and works as it should. Care needs to be taken when filling as it’s not a wide filler. Keeps pressure well and is still working well after a couple of months. My only complaint and reason for 4 stars is the wand seems to work without the on off leaver being pressed even after pressure is released by a valve on top of unit and it’s bloody annoying. Still it does what is designed to do.

This has been going strong in the year that I have had it, I use it very regularly for patio cleaner, never seems to clog, never had an issue at all, just a few pumps to build pressure and you're away. The plastic bottle is thick and the other components are well made too.

This is a game changer for me. I love this gadget! It makes watering and feeding plants so easy. I no longer have to keep refilling watering cans with feed or asking someone to bring hanging baskets down to my level! The 5 litre pump is more than adequate, heavy enough for my needs and sprays for a surprisingly long time. Providing you pump it up enough, the spray and stream are both good and once working they can be locked into position so you don't have to keep pressing a lever. I have been using this for a few weeks now and if something happened to it, I would be buying an exact replacement!

Excellent product. It delivers a continuous and even spray. As per the instructions 25 pumps creates enough pressure to last for upto 4 litres of continuous coverage. There is a handy snib in the handle of the sprayer that locks it in place so no need to keep holding the trigger. I used it to put sealant onto block paving on a driveway and patio. Will also be using it to apply weed killer and water the plants if we end up with a hose pipe ban!

Works well but on off tap difficult to operate ,sticks when trying to turn off. Nice size good pressure

This is a good quality pump spray well made and substantial in build, there are cheaper alternatives but this is a good quality item with an adjustable nozzle, and easy to assemble

I never have luck with sprayers and this is once again a let down. Used it 2004 and in 2005 it leaked. I left it until this year - may 2005 and it reminded me to leave a review Cheap and cheerful next time because mine all leak

Great value for money! This Sprayer does the job just a well as another Sprayer I own that cost over $100. The quality is very good, and overall I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Jag behövde denna för att applicera tätningsvätska på lättbetong. Den funkade jättebra. Den är lätt att använda, det går enkelt att pumpa upp ett tryck i behållaren så att den kan pressa ut vätskan och när du är klar och vill släppa ut eventuellt kvarvarande tryck så har den en ventil som du försiktigt drar i och du hör då hur det pyser ut. Med tanke på munstycket så tror jag att denna lämpar sig enbart till lättflytande vätskor. Om det är mer trögflytande så ska du välja något annat sätt för att applicera.
