Worth spending the extra money!
When I received this boom arm I can honestly say that I was entirely happy with the product I received. It is DEFINITELY worth the extra cash for the confidence in the quality you get. Some things to note - This boom arm is heavy duty meaning you will need a heavy mic to use it - for reference - I use a Sure SM7B (not sure the exact weight) and the arm works perfectly. You get good length when fully extended, and there is a support for your wire at the top of the mic arm to keep your workspace neat. There are 3 Velcro straps included, along with everything needed for assembly, BOTH for desk mounted and permanent installation (drilled into desk). The product feels secure in every way, and does not move an inch when fixed to the desk using the desk mount. Safe to say this thing will not move if you don’t want it to.The material is top quality and even the plastic parts - desk mount and knobs etc. - feel extremely sturdy.I have used cheaper stands before this one and they simply don’t compare. Even mid range price always seem to falter. If you want something that will last and deliver in every aspect, I recommend this product. My thoughts generally are, if you can afford to spend a little extra on this equipment, you will notice a big difference. It is definitely worth investing in these aspects of your setup, and from what I can tell, this boom arm will last for many many years.10/10 worth it.

Great quality choice for first studio arm
Easy to set up and attach to a desk. Very stable. The arm is sturdy, feels very solid and well made. It is quite heavy, so not so portable, if that matters. The springed arm moves super smoothly and silently when adjsting the position of your microphone and is very easy to rotate the angle. This is my first studio arm, upgrading from a desktop stand and I'm very pleased with this. I made a great choice, this will last me a long time and can be used with a heavier microphone such as Shure SM7B

Solid, good quality mic arm
Really good product.Bought a very cheap similar one previously which was very flimsy and broke. This one although a little more pricey has worked well and lasted many years. Very sturdy. Good attatchement to microphone.Really simple to clamp to the desk. Can position the arm into many positions easily. Highly recommend. I use mine with a blue yeti. And the provided cable loops are easy to fasten the cord along the arm to.

Excellent quality mic stand, very pricey though.
Very happy with this mic stand. It comes with a bunch of options for mounting, its clamp is really good, rock solid stable. I’ve got it mounted on a half curved edge desk and it handles that with no problems. Moving the arm around is effortless and it conforms to whatever position I put it in. The added felt to hide the arms is a nice touch, looks much more professional and cleaner.

Needs adjustments
Whilst this boom arm is amazing quality, down to the base being very sturdy. The arm itself, is perfect. The only issue with this arm is the springs under a bit more tension than they need to be. If you have a heavy mic, it should keep it in place but after doing some research online, I had to make sure the screws on the joints were fully tightened. Without any instructions in the box, it caused some frustration. With the adjustment made, it now stays in place. Giving me freedom to use a microphone without cables everywhere on the desk or a banging feedback from the acoustic travelling thought the stand. All in all, before the screw adjustments - it was going to be sent back. After the adjustments, it’s a great working arm with a heavy base camp. Adjustable to tailor any position.

Expensive but, money well spent!
Having Bought a few cheap arms you might be thinking how much better can these boom arms be?Photos do not show the difference in quality.Key points:-quality construction all screws and parts look and feel good to uses, and I expect them to last.-They are physically bigger than the cheap ones (more reach)-silent operation you don’t get that annoying springy sound or rattles- they stay put with the mic attached even if you extend the arm fully - no drifting in any position or need for constant retightening.-the table clamp has rubber pads on both parts so it doesn’t gouge you table on either side.-clamp mount positions the weight of the arm over the table rather than hanging off the back of the clamp- neat clips for cable managementBad bits :- difficult/limited use if mounted near a wall but all of the arms designed in this way have this issues-Big “Rode” Branding but this is a bit marmite (some might like it some might hate it)Overall yes it’s much more expensive than the cheap generic ones but is also a much better product that will look good on camera
