Two brushes showed defects the first time I cleaned them. For my #11 angle brush bristles came out in clumps. You can see in the picture that the angle brush is now shaggy where the bristles are loose, along with a few clumps. The #10 flat brush had the entire mass of bristles fall out when I was using a rag to dry them. The other three brushes I used and cleaned did not have any damage. So I'm choosing to keep the set, and replace the defective ones with better quality brushes. I guess I cannot expect too much from a $14 set!!!However, I wanted to let you all know not to expect too much from this set.

I got the paint brush set for my girl. She loves it and the brush is easy to pick up paint and clean in the water. It got good grips and soft brush to paint.It is good quality and recommended for intermediate painters.

I bought these brushes because i needed to do small (simple) details on a wooden sign and they were a lot better quality then i was expecting-especially for the price. my only downfall is that some of them arrived with the top missing or came off shortly after...a little super glue worked for me though!

Unfortunately the #10 arrived creased and when this happens, they don't smooth or even out again. Too bad, the rest of the set is fine. If I'd found a way to contact the seller, I'd been ok with just the one brush replacement.Update:Upped to 4 stars for the simple fact the seller reached out after my review and offered to replace the brushes.

Gift for granddaughter. She opened it and number 8 brush was missing. She is excited about the brushes. I would like her to receive the missing brush to complete the set.

I do not leave my brushes sitting in water and the paint is chipping off. I’m really disappointed. My children’s brush handles are better than these. The brushes themselves are decent. I do not like cleaning the paint chipping off and potentially ruining my work.

After one use and washing, the wrapping around the brushes are peeling off. I like the actual brush part but the handle is not holding up. Whatever is wrapped around the actual handles is very brittle and peels off with just finger cleaning with water.

My daughter has become painting obsessed. This gift set was exactly what she wanted and so professional looking! The only slight issue is the sponge was imprinted a bit because it was out of place maybe from shipping.
