Cuddle Cone Pet Recovery Cone, Small - Burgundy Hawaiian

Having a super flexible yoga cat, we’ve tried 3 other cones of increasing size before finding this one. I have a 1 year old cat (Eddie) that we need to restrict grooming to his hind quarters. Having purchased 2 cones of increasing size from the vets, Eddie was still able to reach pass the edge and continue to groom. Tried a larger “fabric” cone (felt like thin woven coated paper), but Eddie quickly figured out that he could easily bend the cone on the ground and continue to groom. The Cuddle Cone has ‘almost’ worked out perfectly. The cone depth is 6 inches, with the next size up being 8 inches. The head opening is just slightly too large for our 1 year old, but with the collar loops (a great feature!!!) we can use a standard cat collar and maintain the cone on his head. Was initially worried about the size/weight, but Eddie is easily able to move and run around with it. Being made of soft fabric and having the linear creases, allows the cone to fold and provide better comfort while resting. Although not recommended by the manufacturer, we’ve washed the cone in a front-load washer on gentle, and have seen no ill effects. We actually own 3 cones as Eddie seems to dirty up his cone after a few days. (Why do cats need to see what they’ve done in the litter box???) Would have given 5 stars except that since this cone is still comprised of fabric and foam, there’s an ever so slight bend at the end where Eddie can still barely groom. If the foam were just a little more rigid, 5 stars for sure. (we compensated by adding some very thin plastic pieces to the panels for additional rigidity) Overall, great product. Design is very nice. Quality material and construction.

Best product for the animal who hates his cone! My dog didn't even seem to notice it was on and actually seemed upset when it was time to take it off
