The bulb is located at the top of the lantern instead of inside the fake candle, which looks stupid if the lamp is hung above eye level, but I modified them using regular straws, which you can see in the video. So far (four days), they’ve worked fantastically, and it’s been raining most of the time. That may be due to the battery. I’ll update the review with another report in a few weeks or months, depending how they last. One note on the modification if you want to do it: white straws would look better than the yellow ones I used, at least during the day; at night it looks great.

Purchased and repurchased. My wifesaw the lights in the yard hanging off hooks and she loved them and if I would order more. The lights are all working, stays on until morning light. Definitely looks like candles at night. Gives a very nice ambiance in the yard.

I bought two sets of these to hang in the trees around my pool. They have a nice, romantic glow at nighttime but do not put off much light at all. So, depending on what you're looking for, these may or may not set the mood for you. They serve my purposes and not one lantern has stopped working since I bought them a year ago.

The first thing you should know is that these lights have an amber light, not white light. The light is not bright, more like a single votive candle or match flame. I have all 4 hanging together like a chandelier over a table under our gazebo and had hoped they would be bright enough to illuminate the table, but they do not. One good thing about them is the clip used to secure them. It is very strong so has held up against strong winds.

I ordered several of these... I absolutely love how they look around the pool area... some of them have the plastic that is over the solar panel that you simply can't take off... I had to use my eyebrow tweezers to remove the plastic... Otherwise, great product

Very small and offer very little light. They are pretty for decoration purposes. Ive had them. Outside for two years and 3 out of four are still working. There ia no motion detection at all thou.

So I really can't say anything about being waterproof or the longevity because we've only had them a few days. They are cute but really small. I would guess 4 or 5 inches at the most. I should have read the dimensions better. It talks cm not inches.

We bought the lanterns in 2018. First the subtle atmosphere that the solar lanterns provide is amazing as dusk approaches. We have hung them on the low branches of our few trees in our small city backyard. Amazingly the squirrels have not bothered to chew on them! We brought the lanterns out for 2019 and only 5 of the six worked, initially thought the lantern was not getting enough sun (rainy days in Pa) but this was not the issue. Ended up discarding one lantern. Heres hoping next year 5 will work.
