3Sets Brass 3/8" Garden Heavy Duty Hose Mender Repair End Replacement Male Female Connector

I have some clear tubing that I connect to an immersion chiller for brewing. These are a perfect fit. I really like the way that the end of my hose gets fitted to a barb and then the compression fitting screws on top to hold everything very snug in place. My only recommendation is to use some plumbers tape (teflon) on the threaded parts to keep everything water tight, but I always use teflon tape with jobs involving water.

These are very nicely machine pieces that did the job perfectly for me. I used them with food-grade clear 3/8" ID vinyl tubing to make a fast disconnect for a drinking water system in an RV conversion. The worked exactly as I was hoping.

The Ferrule are too small to fit over 3/8 vinyl garden hose. I had to get some hose clamps too.

It's a well-made fitting but it doesn't fit my hose. It's for a hose with very thin walls, looks to want an outside diameter of about half an inch. With a 3/8 inside diameter that means about 1/16" thickness.

Purchased these as my spiral retracting garden hose (size 3/8) started to leak from both sides where the original connectors were. Tried looking at different places and physical for the replacement connectors and could not find for 3/8 pipe. Came across these on amazon and ordered them.It was very easy to install these by just cutting off the pipe and inserting this connector as per the instructions provided and ensuring they are tightened properly. Not a single drop of water was leaking and I was able to fix the issue and save money buying a new hose.
