The Hollow Woods: Storytelling Card Game (Magical Myrioramas)

I like these myriorama cards. I have 3 decks from the series, and this is my second favorite (the Endless Odyssey is the best of the bunch).The thing is that it's not really a game. Some people will be disappointed by this. There are only 20 cards that fit together in any order to make different stories. If that's not your thing, then these aren't for you.This set has elements of the Grimm Brothers stories and other dark tropes on each card. The art is black and white. With the Endless Odyssey set, one could use the cards as an oracle deck, but I don't think these are appropriate for that use. These are really just for making gloomy stories that take place in a dark wood.

I think this is extremely beautiful artwork and it's brilliant how the cards always make a perfect picture together no matter which combination. I am sorry there are so few cards. I brought it to a game night and we played two of the suggested games in very little time. If we were super creative at telling stories this may have lasted longer, but even so, I think this game would get played out pretty quickly. It will be more of a novelty item than a game for me.

Love these cards they can be used as writing prompts with adults or kids

I bought this set, along with the sci-fi version of them, to use in my high school English classes to spark creative writing. The images on these cards are beautiful and very detailed and the cards themselves are very sturdy. The possibilities for how to incorporate these cards are endless.

Awesome unique game! Really fun to play with a 9 or 10 year old. They come up with the funniest things. It's also nice that the cards are so beautifully drawn.

Beautiful cards, used for year 4 writing. Children found them really inspiring. To be fair I didn’t let them touch the cards though!

First off should have read more of the details before ordering. Was looking at solo games and this came up. It's not a game. It's like those stories dice. And as advertised as trillions of different possiblities. That's a big nope. There is only 20 limited and not very detailed cards. So it's not like even if you buy tarot cards not because your into it but because the art is amazing. This is drab and real minimalistic. The packaging is beautiful and the tiles / cards are great quality. But for a extremely over priced novelty item that will be looked at once. I actually think the story dice with simple icons lead to more of an imagination than these drab cards. And since these cards are so big , it's really a missed opportunity. These really could have had great detail and tecture. Will be returned.

Beautifully designed, can get lost for a while playing with these. Nice and gothic!
