Not Bad
Good practice for the exam both by familerizing yourself with the layout of the exam and review for somethings you may still be unsure of. Granted it's not perfect but it's a good study option for those wondering what they may need to help study for the exam.

Meh. Not awful, but definitely could have been better.
I feel like this book did well in providing you with a decent amount (750) of practice questions, $0.02 per question isn't shabby. Hey, pick it up used (currently listed at less than three bucks) and you're golden. However, I feel that in a lot of cases, the questions were contradictory in their "take home points." Example: in one question about an apneic trauma patient, you were supposed to ventilate via BVM since that was the quickest way to ventilate them. In a subsequent (nearly identical question) you were to intubate them (choosing BVM ventilation was wrong) because they needed a definitive airway. Could the questions have been written better, using terms like "what would you do FIRST" or "what is the definitive solution to this patient's airway?" Yeah. What this book fell most short on was reinforcing the "rules" of the exam. Things I'd point to would include things like "when given the choice between assessing a patient further or starting to treat them, always choose the answer that continues assessment." The test LOVES to do that to you: to paint a picture of a hyperthermic, confused patient, then ask if you'd like to check a sugar or start cooling them down. Another would be looking for (wrong) answers that share similarities, such as giving medications before dealing with airway issues. The book DID give you questions that related to these situations, but the answers failed to highlight how to use these strategies/rationales in the real testing situation.

Passed NREMT-P, great book!
Well I passed my NREMT-Paramedic exam so I'd have to say this book is pretty solid. Between this book and Success for the Paramedic, I felt very prepared for my exam.

Three Stars
It was a good review but wasn't too helpful for the National Exam.
