A GREAT SHED ONCE IT'S ALL SAID AND DONE
This is a really good looking, fairly unusual shed. I love that it's all metal, although be careful when you're building it - wear gloves! Which is hard to do, considering that the bolts and screws are so tiny. Speaking of which, building advice:1) You should probably have two people. One could be the one wearing gloves to avoid getting sliced by the sharp metal while the other works the screwgun. Plus, two people will help immensely when you have to insert a bolt from the outside and attach a nut on the inside! I did it alone, but it was challenging and took me eight to ten hours total. Two people who are fairly adept should be able to finish this in less than six hours.2) Think foundation. You're going to have to pour a concrete foundation for this one if there's not already a pad, and you're talking AT LEAST thirty bags of concrete, laying a form, using some wire mesh, etc. There's more work in the foundation than the shed, in other words, so factor that in to your over-all equation when you're thinking about ordering this (assuming they restock it).3) Pick up a half dozen longer bolts at your local hardware store than the one's provided for the RIDGE plates (you'll see). Not too much longer, maybe another 1/4", but that will help attach the central ridge cover which has to go through like three layers of metal, including the two outside ridge pieces and the roof sheet metal. The standard size they provide works well everywhere else, just not on that one piece.4) Be patient. The instructions are good, but not great. It would be extremely helpful, for example, if they would simply label the parts - they don't. You have to sort that out for yourself, which probably adds at least a half hour to the build. Also some of the instructions just aren't very clear, since they're written for several sizes of shed rather than this one. So it's a little confusing, but just hang in there. All in all, it's a great shed and worth a couple of headaches building and the lengthy process of building a foundation. Ours turned out beautiful, and looks very natural nestled in the trees along the fence.
