Both varieties were great but I really want to focus on the salmon roe. By far one the the best salmon roe that I have tasted. Many times before it was very salty and somewhat mushy . Not these , the roe was just firm enough and abit crunchy in the mouth and the salt was just right. Sometimes salmon roe can be really fishy tasting and smelling but with these it was like tasting the ocean. There was no overpowering fish smell or taste.I’ll have to order more.I’ll also review the other in a delegate review.👍👍👍👍👍The bowfin caviar was awesome as well. The tiny egg were firm and popped in your mouth. The salt was well balanced and again there was no fishy odor or flavor , just a buttery , oceanly flavor that all great seafood has. Well done!

While the product was acceptable quality I do have a few comments. The salmon caviar was somewhat bland. The bowfin was nice and salty, however it did have a slight muddy taste in the finish. For the price I paid overall not bad. It’s not in the same class as Russian varieties though.

Delicious and fresh. Malossol is when salt is used to extend the freshness which was important for me and my husband because we could never eat this much in one setting. Salmon caviar was also very good. Highly recommend!

I thought the Bowfin caviar was pretty good for the price. I rated it 4 stars for a cost taste ratio. The Salmon Roe was a bit too salty for my palate so I can rate it only 2 stars. This averaged out to 3 stars. I would buy the Bowfin again, but no the the Salmon Roe.

I don't like a lot of saltiness in my caviar, next time I will try and buy the ossetra caviar.
