I’m so worried about dropping my insulin bottle, especially in the early mornings when I am half asleep. This is perfect and has saved me from breaking bottles.

These are nice little bottle protectors and work great for my Lantus and Humalog. I've only had them for a couple days so I can't say how well they'll hold up but I think they'll be fine.I only have one complaint and it's not really a big issue. The back side has some raised VIAL SAFE lettering preventing me from attaching little labels I had printed out to remind me of dosing. Like I said not a big issue.

Great product as I use both Novalog and Lantus having dropped and broken a couple of vials on my kitchen floor and it almost seems like you’re guilty of something when getting replacement vials. The protectors fit perfectly, easy to place on or remove from the vials, and allow a nice view of the expiration date and remaining insulin. The additional width and height make them hard to fit in many travel case vial slots, but it’s worth a slight modification to keep the protectors in place. I bought two sets and it would be convenient if they had a set with two tall and two small vial protectors.

After dropping a $142.00 vial of Novolin R on a tile floor & having it shatter, I was looking for a way to prevent that in the future. I saw the typical sleeves made my other manufacturers & I was about to purchase one of them. Then I saw these. The main advantage is the type of insulin and the amount left in the vial are visible - unlike other brands that cover the entire vial. And, the silicone provides a much-better grip than the slippery glass the vial is made of.When I initially saw these, I was disappointed at the rather large openings in the side of the sleeve because it looked like a large section of the vial was unprotected. But after slipping the sleeve on the vial, I noted that there is a raised ridge around the opening that provides protection. After installing the sleeve, I tapped the vial on a hard surface & even on the section with the opening, the vial did not contact the surface, so it looks like that raised ridge still protects the vial. I would have liked less of the vial exposed, however. I suggest the manufacturer cover more of the vial with silicone. Only a small section of the vial needs to be visible to determine the type of insulin and the amount left.

We bought this after a terrible accident, we all know what I’m talking about... I dropped the brand new insulin on the ground. It was slippery and cold and I dropped it! Our cat needs insulin twice a day and I was devastated! I went to Amazon, where you can find anything, and this came up. I purchased it right away! I do recommend for cat insulin to cut the bubbled tip off, as it fits much better and it DOES NOT lower the protection at all. Outstanding protection, I would recommend this to anyone who uses insulin (human or pet). Best amazon purchase to date!

Bought these under an emergency solution to a traumatized daughter who accidently dropped a bottle of Lantus 10mL insulin just picked up from the pharmacist. Knowing it was an accident didn't help calm her at all even after salvaging enough syringes of the remaining liquid gold to get through the holiday weekend. Deciding to look up protective containers/sleeves I came across Vial Safe during a Google search. Looking into the product I was skeptical thinking for the cost of this miracle chaos preventer it can't be legit- till we watched various videos and testimony by the granddaughter of the creator itself. SOLD!!! Product arrived to the delight of a very enthusiastic 13yr old. with a rubber bracelet stating Diabetic which made my day along with her. Packaged is two 10mL sleeves for short (Humalog, Humulin, Novolog, Levimer and Novolin) and taller (Lantus, Apidra) bottles of insulin (or similar products). My heart sank when the sleeve was placed on a vial of insulin and I see a look of pure mischievous chaos in her eyes and that grin... she casually drops it onto the sidewalk from an extended reach above her head of at least 5½ feet.... and it bounces....twice....warbles and comes to a standstill. No leaks. No scuffs. NOTHING but an intact vial of liquid gold?! So yeah needless to say this product works and brings great joy and amusement to her knowing accidents happen but do not need to be the end of the world. Now if I could just get her to stop demonstrating it.....

Saw this reviewed by Diabetes Mine recently and thought I'd splurge on what seems to be the best solution for someone on MDI like me. I have a Sugar Medical case that was designed for pen users, so I've always worried my Lantus vial would slip out when I opened it, especially while traveling (I put the Humalog vial in the elastic loop meant for test strips). Over the years I've shattered 3 priceless bottles of insulin this way, and always hoped I'd find a better case or some kind of vial shield like these. The silicone is flexible and seems thick enough to last, and is easy to clean with soap and water. As pictured, you are able to see how much insulin is left in the bottle and the top accommodates the vial cap easily for filling syringes. Just wish I'd had these years ago!

I never ever write product reviews, but had to make an exception this time. Vial Safe is hands down the best purchase I have ever made on Amazon! I have dropped and broken numerous insulin vials over the years and it is not fun at all....the expense, the insurance hassle, THE SMELL! This product is awesome. It goes on easily and never has to be removed until the vial is empty, because the design allows me to insert my syringe even while Vial Safe is on. Vial Safe is also see through, which allows me to see which brand of insulin I am using, and also allows me to see how much insulin is left in my vial. When my vial is empty, I just slip Vial Safe on my new vial and I am good to go. The peace of mind of never worrying about breaking another vial again is priceless...thank you Vial Safe! Oh and great for travel and tossing in your purse without a thought too!!
